This property REALLY lived up to its name. We were granted an upgraded room for our stay and the suite was beautiful! Simple, Spacious, Inviting and Homely! Felt Like I was in a good condo/apt (minus a kitchenette but that wasnt a necessity). OH AND THE BATHTUB AND BATHROOM was amazing. Definitely recommend this for a nice couples getaway. Unfortunately the bowling downstairs was filled when we decided to go but next time!

Misleading Listing – Avoid This Hotel

strongly advise travelers to reconsider booking La Casa Hotel Gwangmyeong through Hotels.com. As a Platinum member and frequent Hotels.com user, I experienced significant discrepancies between the advertised listing and reality: Misleading "Serene Mountain" Claims: The hotel is described as a "serene retreat nestled in the mountains," but it’s surrounded by roads, an IKEA, and a parking lot. The so-called "mountain view" was a partial glimpse from the bathroom window—hardly the tranquil escape promised. Facilities Require Extra Fees: The gym shown in photos is part of a separate business in the basement charging 30,000 KRW per day. The hotel’s actual gym is tiny and poorly equipped. Access to the better facility is restricted to limited hours around classes, which was not disclosed upfront. No Soundproofing: Despite being advertised as soundproofed, I could clearly hear staff vacuuming in adjacent rooms immediately after check-in. Questionable "Premium" Room: My room (supposedly a premium category) did not match the listing’s photography. The layout and views appeared intentionally misrepresented to suggest a more upscale experience. Additional Issues with Hotels.com: Platinum Status Ignored: I was charged for early check-in despite being a Platinum member entitled to this benefit. Poor Customer Support: Hotels.com repeatedly dismissed my concerns, offering only trivial compensation (e.g., OneKeyCash) instead of addressing the hotel’s false advertising.

The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. I truly love the gift they offered me with a bottle of wine, very kind! I particularly enjoyed spending time in the terrace garden, which offered a serene escape with its lush greenery and comfortable seating – the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The kitchen staff were equally impressive; they went above and beyond by providing me with extra items like a cozy blanket in case I got chilly. If you want temporary stay before you take your KTX journey, this hotel offers close location, clean and eco friendliness. Apparently also good hotel to accommodate kids’ vacation .. The other thing about this hotel is … kinda rude? I never been treated in hotel like this in Korea. When i check in hotel service person required my passport(which is reasonable as I booked the room) but he looked at my guests and started to ask their nationality and demanded our passport. This is something I never heard. I started to ask questions and refused it as I don’t think was necessary, they said it was for safety and threatened me that you couldnt stay if all of us don’t share our passport information.. Weird. Also no noise proofing at all, i could hear all the convos via vents. Area around the hotel is restaurant area, especially lot of drinking place with drunk people on the street, it did intimidated my 80 yr old grandma walking during dinner time. Otherwise they do have water fountain to fill your water bottle. Which i think rare in korea
