You get what you pay for.

I chose this place because it was cheaper than more established hotel chains, and as such it did deliver as expected. Car Park easily available, a bit worn rooms but nothing catastrophic. Breakfast was a standard norwegian breakfast, nothing fancy. I got flashbacks to school camps which was in similar facilities except this time I had my own room :)

+ Side: nice staff, good sauna, free tea, decent breakfast (cereal options are good). The sausages are good. Possible improvements: Have some eggs sunny side up. every day. Otherwise the options for egg are poor, and soft cooked eggs are seldomly soft, but hard cooked. And really important to get fixed: The door to room 225 cannot close tight possible, ie. Aall noise from hallway goes into the room. I first was able to get a new good room (245( after 6 nights... First then I could sleep well.

The hotel was great and loved the location near the ski jumps and soccer fields. It very much captured the Olympic vibe. Close to walking trails and to walk to town. The included breakfast was very good. It had a very nice lounge so you could relax outside your room. The shower, as in most of Norway, was small and leaked a bit.

During our stay, we loved the property and Lillehammer so much that we extended and stayed two days rather than one. Your front desk staff was special - both Metta and Patricia went above and beyond to help us get transportation, give advice on restaurants, and make sure we had everything we needed. They were friendly and accommodating. We also loved the location as being right in the heart of the Olympic village.
