Sandpiper is a low density three story complex. Its unique V shape building and shared common area walkway in front of each condo lends to a friendly get to know your neighbor atmosphere. Family reunions, large groups of people traveling together and individual families choose this property often. The tropical courtyard, seasonally-heated swimming pool (mid-March through October, as needed) and grilling areas give Sandpiper an ambiance all its own. It is a highly requested property and has the most repeat guests.

Late getting room ready fur check in, rushed us out for check out.

Received an email stating due to staff shortage we would be checking in late around 5pm. I called at 12 because some of our group had their room, called again at 4:00pm, 5:00pm, 6:00pm and finally at 6:30 we was given the code to get into the room. The room is a bit dated, the elevator (just 1) is painfully slow and small, don't take anything you can't carry up the stairs. The room wasn't clean with sand still in the floors from the last guests, older stained carpet and the oven has been beaten up, it does still work just looks like a crime scene. On Friday the office called and asked if we'd be leaving early and I told them no we would be checking out at 10:00 as agreed in the contract, i asked about a late check out and was immediately hung up on. At 8:00 [most of our group still asleep] housekeeping was banging on the door, we told her we would be leaving at 10:00. At 8:30 more knocking and housekeeping once again wanting to know when we were leaving. At 9:15 I walked out of the room and a housekeeper asked if that was everything and could she start. No, just the 1st trip to the car we would be leaving at 10:00 . With some paint, newer furniture and appliances and an upgrade or additional elevator this would be a great property.

Nice place, great value

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location, nice beach, pretty quiet for a beach condo. Beds and furniture clean and comfy. Only 2 suggestions: Make your sign or building number easily visible from the street. I missed it almost every time. The fry pans need to be replaced, They're pitted. Both suggestions are minor. We loved our stay and plan to return.

First time staying at gulf shores. Nice place. Ladies that checked me in were very nice. Chairs are not included. Beach was beautiful. Will stay again.

Watching the waves roll in!

Promptly after reserving the VRBO Bender Realty called, reviewed instructions and really set me at ease knowing the property was well managed. The beach is right there with great views from every room at the Sandpiper. There were friendly guests and a space enough to swim and grill comfortably. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.
