My experience

Well i love crystal towers but this room was the worst one ive stayed in. all the plastic chairs on the patio are dry rotted i almost fell through one. the showers are pitiful like they were built for a child. the room stunk when we first got there and the master bed was not comfortable. and the tvs in bedrooms are the cheapest tvs you could buy. The one in the living room was ok but the remote needed to access streaming features was nowhere to be found. Will not recommend this room to anybody. Not worth what i paid.

This property was a complete let down and here’s why. 1. When arriving you are greeted with parking fees! Parking is not included in the price! 20 per car per day. I was not the only individual upset with this either, we had several families arguing about this as well. 2. The place was not clean!! We walked around with our shoes off and our feet were completely black, so we wore shoes for the remaining of the time. Our “freshly cleaned tub” had sand still in it from the guest before us. 3. The complex was not kept up. The first day we got there someone had pooped in the pool and it stayed in the pool for hours. (Picture included) 4. The code we were given for the beach access was incorrect. I went out early the first morning to walk to beach and watch the sunrise and had to wait to finally flag down a worker to let me in. I waited for 30 mins for a worker. 5. The outdoor furniture was either broken, cracked, rotten, filthy, or flimsy!! Sitting on the balcony is something everyone wants to do, at least provide fitting furniture. 6. Someone broke part of a charger into the outlet and nothing was ever done to fix it. Thankfully we say this before my 2 year old daughter was electrocuted by a live outlet. (Picture included) 7. You also hidden fees as well- cleaning fee, host fee, armband fee, and even a laundering fee. If I’m going to pay for a cleaning fee, I expect it to be clean! 8. Unfortunately the “lazy river” was extremely small. Not big enough for 10 people.

Awesome Rental

We were down for a volleyball weekend competition and wanted something inexpensive but also on the beach. This certainly fit our expectations-although it is across from the beach it has an air conditioned walkway to the beach and another pool on the beach side. We were very pleased and hope this is available during our next stay .

Location and amenties are excellent. The property needs some updating, but that's our personal preference. It did not detract from our stay at all.We have been to Gulf Shores the past three winters and stayed in three different places. This is easily our favorite and we will schedule this spot again.

First Time Guests

We are repeat offenders ( HA) Visiting the gulf coast every summer. This was our first visit to Crystal Towers. I read the other reviews prior to booking and felt a little apprehensive. I had no reason. Arrived at 4pm. The condo was spotless. No sticky floors as previously mentioned. The beds were comfortable enough. The twin beds have sheets of plywood as support. I guess. But the mattress was comfortable enough. The couch/loveseat was a bit rough. But, I don't vacation to sit on the couch so we made due. If your looking for plush/ comfort here it's a miss. But, again, my time is spent out at the beach or doing other activities. The bathrooms were clean and smelled fresh. No rogue hairs or toenails. The master bedroom was welcoming and comfortable. Plenty of plates/ pots/pans. They had forgotten to leave linens in the master bathroom, however left enough in the hall bath we just washed them. The walkway to the beach was wonderful. The pools got crowded, but were clean and well maintained. Security was pleasant and comforting knowing that they definitely made rounds. We will return next summer, and we will definitely look at rebooking this condo if it's available for our week.

Nice view and room was okay!

The condo was nice! Furniture inside and on the balcony needs to be updated and kitchen dishes need to be replaced and replenished! The coffee cups are the size of cups for a tea party and there were no baking pans!! The bedding in both rooms needs to be replaced as well! As far as the elevators go, horrible! This place has 20 floors and only 3 elevators to move all of its guest up and down & the elevators are broken most of the time!! On Saturday we were not there all day but all 3 elevators were not working most of the day and there was a fire truck there to help get people out of the elevator. It took us two hours to bring all of our stuff down to load up and leave on check out day! Thankfully I was able to check out on time. There were two occasions during our week long stay that people were stuck in the elevator.

I have stayed at the Crystal Tower a few times., and this is the first time I have stayed in this unit. The location is fantastic. The pools and the beach access are great! The condo needs some love. The furniture needs to all be replaced. The couch is falling apart and the beds are rough. The kitchen appliances are well past their prime. For a little more money you can get a better property at the Crystal Tower, but this one will do.

We would not recommend

We would not recommend this condo. It is by far the most outdated condo we have ever stayed in and it is not very clean. Our bed sheets were torn, a comforter had stains on it. There was sand in the beds. Our feet stuck to the tile floor. The patio had left ovwe Sunflower seeds on it with a nasty rug in one corner with broken, dirty patio furniture. The couch pillows were ripped. Dirty dishes put away in cabinets. Stains on the curtains and towels. The beds were terrible, like sleeping on springs. We would stay at Crystal Towers again, but not in 704. The owners should be ashamed.

Lots of issues

We were unhappy with our stay. I spent the first few days cleaning the unit enough for my family to feel comfortable. Getting our luggage to the room took over an hour with the elevator problems. After walking through the unit, the bottoms of everyone’s feet were turning black. The tile was so dirty and filmy, you could stand in place and do a split. It was quickly apparent that this place was getting a minimal amount of cleaning. The bed in the master makes the loudest noises when you shift at all. Mattresses were firm and uncomfortable. Lampshade was broken in many places. In the master bathroom, the vanity looked nice. The bathtub had two different holes in it. It looks like they unsuccessfully tried to repair it. Black mold spores above shower due to weak ventilation. Bathtub drain was backed up. (I later bought a screwdriver and removed a hair clog from the drain that was as big as my fist.) Cleaned the tub and the whole family just used that one since the other tub was gross and had no stopper, although this one didn’t hold water for long either. The second bedroom had two twin beds with drawers beneath the mattresses. They were broken and misaligned. Spilled drinks on wall, bed frames and baseboards. Dresser drawers caved in, random painters tape on the walls. Nightstand drawer was soiled with stains inside. The couches were rough looking and uncomfortable. The leather ottoman/coffee table had holes and gouges in the cover. Round glass top table with 4 placemats and 3 chairs, so I had to eat at the bar while my family sat at the table.The listing shows 4 chairs. The kitchen was stocked sparsely, mismatched lids to pots and pans. No coffee mugs, just tiny tea cups. The loudest dishwasher. It had 2 microwaves in the kitchen. A countertop one added instead of replacing the range one, which just takes up counter space. The balcony floor was soiled and stained. The patio furniture was cracked, mismatched and dirty. The listing showed a nice patio set with a clean deck.. It was saddening to walk through this unit and see all the problems while charging you rates that lead you to believe you’ll be entering into a nice, clean, safe place for your family. During Covid, this is especially concerning. I would never rent this unit again, and I wasn’t going to spend my vacation on the phone scheduling maintenance to fix things that are obvious prior to our check-in.

Great location, not a great condo.

We really enjoyed the beach , the view, and all the amenities. Except the skywalk was closed and had been for awhile, which was not disclosed. We were not pleased with the condo at all, the furniture was very grungy , the bed was horribly uncomfortable and the blankets were awful. The patio furniture and our door light were broken and unkept. The cleanliness of the unit was seriously lacking. I would stay at this property again but never this condo.

Not worth it AT ALL

Seemed like a trailer in the middle of a upper-scale neighborhood. Lobby area and pools were perfect, very pretty and landscaping was very nice. The condo its self was horrible. Not explained very well about how to get the key. Coffee maker broken, microwave sounded like a plane was landing in the kitchen. Dust was so thick, not sure it was really cleaned. Pillows missing pillow cases. Every light was missing 2-3 light bulbs. Drawers broken. Spin cycle on washer was horribly loud. Rugs were very dirty. Bathrooms had mold growing and not cleaned. Kitchen was ok, not stocked with lots, but it worked. View was nice and had a large balcony, but with broken table and chairs. Walking across the sky walk was not bad at all. I have pictures of everything, would not recommend this unit unless it was majorly updated.

Great place

We really loved the condo and the Crystal Towers property. Great location and great amenities! The only issue was not getting parking passes and bracelets for 2 days, after calling a million times. ALBVR was the least favorite rental I’ve ever worked with. Also, 10 am is the earliest checkout I’ve ever had, and the cleaning ladies were knocking on my door before 9 :(

Amazing view/Room

This place was beautiful. The view is perfect. The room was perfect and clean. Not a single complaint besides the checking in process. Make sure you know what a “lock box” is and how to “scramble the code” because that’s how you get your key to your room. We had to call someone (property manager) to tell us where the “lock box” was located, because we didn’t understand exactly. But overall, the stay was perfect. You don’t “check in” with a person. You follow the instructions. Make sure you comprehend and understand. You want a 5 star room and view? This place is it.
