Poorest ever reception,given a room that the coffee machine did not work,waited for repair for half hour,still not fixed so after a 3 hour drive to the hotel we went away for an hour to visit a well known place to see ,came back to find someone else in our room! Went reception to sort it out,were given another room that had been renovated because the original room required renovation really,after another hour or so we were offered a free pudding or starter,i thought that was a poor offer so i asked to speak to the managerr who rang the new room could be bothered to see me in person,he had no customer skills and had the audacity to offr us as teetotaller a bottle of fizz,he said if you dont drink i could give it to a friend! I mean you couldnt make this up he went on to offet a nextra couple of teabags and buscuits,i asked him to offer a main meal for w which i think was fair and reasonable in the circumstances,prior to his chat the duty manager offered the starter etc,i told the gm to forget his offer i thought he was hopeless,im sure he said he was an owner of the hotel but i found out later that a family actually owned,thereswas a lack of customer contact,couldnt wait to leave,after paying for the stay a month previously et etc etcroom
