First let me say that this room was inexpensive. $93 I believe. That made me a little suspicious. First off they are having issues with their key system. Many people out in the hall trying to get into their rooms but couldn't, including me. Someone that worked there finally let me into my room. I was afraid if I left to get my bags or dinner that I wouldn't be able to get back in without bothering the staff. It was basically clean...needed a deep clean badly though... Champagne on the walls, grimy on doors around door knobs, black greasy fingerprints on vent above bed, stuff spashed on wall below sink etc. I rented a King suite because it had a jetted tub. I was driving from Colorado and knew my back would love me for that. Well, I was too tired to try it when I got there. I fell asleep. Then when I did try the tub found out it didn't work. It filled but the jets did not work. It was too late to change rooms, I was too exhausted to mess with it. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The bedding and towels were all nice. There was plaster that needed repaired above the tub. I didn't try the TV and wasn't up early enough for breakfast. I did email the hotel but haven't heard back from them. It's been a week now.

I checked into my room and it was never cleaned. It was a mess. Beer all over the counter. Beds not made. I then get switched to a new room and it was the exact same thing. Was not impressed. Very upset.

We had the misfortune of having a desk clerk who ignored our online request for a room close to the desk or close to an elevator due to both of our walking disability. This is a very large hotel with several entrances from all sides which we didn’t know. The desk clerk gave us a room a very, very long walk from the desk on the main floor & neglected to tell us there was another entrance 25 feet from our room. When we looked out the window of our room there were a dozen empty parking spots right there & a door close by. This was a huge hardship for us not to have been told this. The desk person wasn’t a young inexperienced person but a middle aged man who should have known better. Another desk agent heard us complain to the one who gave us the room & neither apologized for inconvenience.

I have been staying at the Heritage Inn for 35-years and the state of this business and facility has fallen into severe disrepair. The condition of the rooms--no lamps on the desk (room 115), loud bathroom fan, inadequate bedding. Above all--perhaps most importantly--the service in casino/bar is TERRIBLE. A guy named, Paul, who may be the manager was rude, lazy, and highly in-efficient at his job. When called out on it, he was combative and chose not to adjust his attitude. When sitting at the bar, patrons are surrounded with piles of unnecessary to-go order containers, dirty plates, menus (some out-dated), glasses on what appears to be hotel bathroom towels (tacky). The dust is overwhelming. While sitting there the staff complain about each other (led by Paul the manager) and complaints overflow to the patrons. This must surely make people want to come back. I do not think I'll be back--time to find a new hotel. Preferably one where staff practice hospitality skills.
