Beautiful River and Mountain retreat

Nice and secluded place on New River. Short drive to dinning and shopping. The house is very well appointed and had everything needed. I would definitely recommend this place if you're into fishing or just a relaxing stay.

Great location!

The location of this property was perfect for our needs! We spent the weekend hiking and exploring the outdoors - just what we were looking for. The location was amazing and right on the New River! The house was not as clean as I expected. Missing a few extras to make it a 5 star stay.

Nice quiet atmosphere!

Cozy home. Great backyard with plenty of running/playing room all the way down to the river. Home is very small but has a nice big deck. Driveway is very steep and parking is limited. 2 car max. Nice and quiet stay and will consider renting again.

Amazing river view

The property was clean and comfortable and the view of the river from the porch was AMAZING. Cabin has great Wifi and cell phone reception, lots of clean towels and blankets. The shower head was a bit low for anyone over 6 feet tall, but there was lots of HOT water. The porch is large and great for enjoying the river view. Unfortunately the grill was unuseable. Overall we were very pleased and would recommend this property to others.

The cleanliness needs some work... multiple dusty cobwebs around the house, some with dead bugs hanging in them. All of the plastic colored plates were dirty with food stuck on them, as well as other dirty dishes. The washing machine did not work, and there's a big hole in the deck. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and enjoyed the property, just wished the place was better maintained.

Father's Day weekend getaway

When looking for a place to stay on the river this looked like the perfect place. Based on previous reveiws I reached out to property owner concerning cleanliness and the yard. They assured me they hired a new cleaning service and the grass was mowed twice a month. So I booked it and we did not regret it. The place is beautiful, clean and yard was mowed right on the river. They had a gated porch for the dogs to run. We grilled fished and played board games. We saw deer out in the ayrd everyday. My family really enjoyed it and we will definitely book this in the future.

Unfortunately the rain from the latest hurricane flooded the lower level of the property prohibiting access to the firepit. Drove into West Jefferson and enjoyed the shopping and the choice of places for Lunch, Typically we enjoyed mountain views but decided to try something different- the flooding impact the overall weekend- not the owners fault. Property Management team was great to work with-- avoid VRBO. VRBO's final price with hidden fees add 100.00 dollars per night.
