Our stay at the hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The dĂ©cor is exquisite, with every detail thoughtfully considered, and the setting is tranquil and beautifully composed — the very essence of a boutique experience. It is clear that no expense was spared in creating a space that feels both refined and deeply comfortable. What truly set the experience apart, however, was the staff. They were outstanding — warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring every moment of our stay was seamless. Their professionalism and care elevated an already beautiful hotel into something truly memorable.

Great but overpriced

The best thing about VM is the staff. service is very good in every area. they give great ideas for day trips, beaches and restaurants. some might view the experience tranquil but it can also be viewed as "dead". bar was empty both friday and saturday and it is an incredible bar. biggest issue was the dining room. falls flat relative to the decor of the rest of the hotel and the food is merely decent. for the price, it needs to be amazing on all fronts

Magical, unique, original decor made for a wonderful stay at Vermelho. The design and architecture makes it feel like a “home” not a hotel. The details in caring for visitors are so endearing. Great young hosts welcome you through the marvelous iron gate into a world of escape and serenity. For such a lover of art, unique interior decor and fashion the whole experience at Vermelho was sublime for me. The beautiful flowers and garden provide an idyllic backdrop to the restaurant dining room. Food was amazing as well as drinks. The complimentary breakfast was such a treat and the eggs Benedict scrumptious . The Bar area was one of my favorites , great drinks but the art and decor fabulous. The small detail of leaving a different tea kettle and cookies in our room in the afternoon so classy . Massage therapist Liliana was wonderful as well. The ladies in the reception area absolutely adorable and very helpful in giving good local information. They were very accommodating when I went shopping at Vida Dura last morning before check out and got lost in their amazing local pottery and items found all over the hotel and arrived after check out time. Mr. Louboutin thank you for your gift of Vermelho in my beautiful home country of Portugal. Now living in Southern California. Can’t wait to go back and buy a place in Melides so we can be closer to Vermelho. Muito obrigado por uma experiĂȘncia inesquecĂ­vel.

Hotel Sur cÎté

L’hĂŽtel est magnifique, sa dĂ©coration et sa structure sont impressionnante. Le service et le restaurant ne sont pas Ă  la hauteur du bĂątiment et de la renommĂ© de celui ci. Pas de parking prive couvert, La qualitĂ© des plats du restaurant n’est pas Ă  la hauteur, les cuissons et assaisonnement ne sont pas maĂźtrisĂ©, Le restaurant intĂ©rieur et extĂ©rieur est infestĂ© de moustiques, ce qui rend le moment dĂ©sagrĂ©able et impossible, le personnel ne semble pas s’en prĂ©occuper et nous indique que le problĂšme a Ă©tĂ© remis Ă  la direction. Le niveau du petit dĂ©jeuner est au mĂȘme niveau qu’un hĂŽtel IBIS en France (vienoiseries, pastel de nata congelĂ©, pain au lait de mauvaise qualitĂ© 
) Ă  900€ la nuit c’est trĂšs mĂ©diocre.
