Beautiful Cozy Cabin with 180 Degree Breathtaking Lake and Mountain Views!

Our cozy cabin is located on peaceful Columbine Lake. The Private Columbine Lake Community is centrally located a few miles between historic downtown Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park.

From our deck relax and enjoy the amazing unobstructed 180-degree views of Columbine lake and Mt. Baldy as you grill out, watch the hummingbirds at the feeder or a moose, deer, and/or fox that walk by almost every day.

The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a table that seats 8, and 2 bar stools at the counter. The open living room has 1 couch, 2 chairs, tv, and a small wood-burning stove to warm you on the cooler mornings or at night as gaze up at the stars through the large front windows. There's also gas and electric heat and a laundry room.
The main floor has 2 bedrooms with queen-sized beds and tvs and 2 full baths (one with a bathtub). The upstairs loft has a futon and rocking chair with a door separating it from the bedroom. The upstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds, 2 twins, TV and DVD player.

Our property is very safe and family-friendly, all railings are to code, it has many games for all ages, 2 adult bikes, helmets, pack n play, toddler bed rails, high chair, booster seat, safety gates and a safe yard for kids to play. There is plenty of parking in the driveway and room for a trailer (no parking is allowed on the road).

The quaint town of Grand Lake has something for everyone with over 60 shops, restaurants, and galleries along with many festivals and firework shows. In the summer, you can enjoy the beach, swimming, rent a paddleboard, paddleboat, kayak or pontoon boat or fishing on one of the beautiful lakes, Grand Lake, Shadow Lake, or Lake Granby. You can take in a show at the renowned Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater.

The entrance to Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park and the Kawuneeche Visitor Center is only 2 miles from our cabin where you can enjoy the amazing Trail Ridge Road drive that has breathtaking views from over 12,000 feet or one of the many hiking or biking trails and wildlife sightings the park has to offer.

Columbine Lake has the Grand Lake Golf Course, Nordic Ski Center and Sledding Hill, Sly Fox Restaurant, and hiking trails.

In the winter Grand Lake the "Snowmobiling Capital of Colorado". It transforms into a winter wonderland with miles and miles of trials. You can snowmobile from our cabin to over 100 miles of groomed trails or to town to one of the many restaurants for dinner. Cross country ski, snowshoe, or take the kiddos sledding at the GL Nordic Center only 1 mile from the cabin (rental equipment available). Afterward, enjoy sipping on hot chocolate, hot toddies, or soup at the clubhouse. Icefish on one of the 3 surrounding lakes, Grand, Shadow, and Granby. Snowboard and/or downhill ski at Granby Ranch Resort or even Dog Sledding, always a unique and memorable experience.

Columbine Lake is a private, covenant - controlled community. Renters are not allowed to use the clubhouse, gazebo, horse pasture, OHVs or Columbine Lake. Please plan on using one of the three local lakes only minutes away (Grand, Granby, and Shadow Mountain) for all your lake activities.

Beautiful view and location. Property has gorgeous windows and porch. We visited in the fall with the aspen turning. Perfect distance into RMNP and Grand Lake. Lots of residences in the area but did not have any problem with noise.

We enjoyed this rental very much! The view is nothing short of spectacular! It was in a convenient location. The beds were comfortable with soft sheets and nice blankets. The kitchen was well stocked. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is a little dated. The toilets are very small and the showers are small too. I would not let those small items keep you from renting this place because it was great.
We were treated to a double rainbow. The fall colors were at peak performance and breathtaking!

My family and I had a wonderful stay in the this beautiful cabin. The views were amazing and we were visited by hummingbirds and deer throughout our time there. The cabin was outfitted with games, which were very helpful for my two young boys. We were there a short time but would definitely go back an stay longer. This was a great experience.

Absolutely loved this cabin! The view was amazing and the location was perfect. 5min into town was very convenient. All the rooms were very clean. We saw deer, several different birds including several hummingbirds, and a handful of well behaved chipmunks! The property owners had great communication and were lovely to speak to! This house is adorable and has the most incredible view! The patio has a table, 2 chairs and a swing and we enjoyed sitting out there and watching the hummingbirds. The house has everything you could need and our kids really enjoyed staying upstairs.

This was our 4th or 5th time at this cabin and we love it. The cabin has everything we need and the views are amazing. We can be in RMNP or the town of Grand Lake in minutes. Rocky Mountain Memories

The perfect place to stay when making those Rocky Mountain memories! The outside views from the deck were spectacular and within a couple of hours being there we saw a moose with its baby just strolling by. We saw mule deer and fawns daily, even seeing a fawn nursing all while sitting on the deck.Not to forget the biggest, brightest double rainbow I’ve ever see. The inside of the home was inviting and cozy. One of the best stocked rentals we’ve ever stayed in. We loved the area where the home is located and the charming downtown. I would recommend this rental any day!

Overall the stay was good. The owners need to update their description on VRBO outlining the fact the rental does not have A/C. The cabin was hot during the day just using the fans and pulling the blinds. It would be a perfect rental for winter.

Fantastic RMNP cabin retreat!

My sister and I plan a biannual National Park trip with our families and this year we chose RMNP this cabin was absolutely perfect in location and size. We hiked, enjoyed down town, and rested in the deck. The kids all had a blast, and even with 5 kids, the cabin didn’t seem crowded. We were traveling with our infant as well and the house had everything we needed (baby gate, high chair, pack n play) so it made packing for our long journey from Arkansas so much easier! We saw moose, deer, and other wildlife, right in the back yard. Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice. We would definitely visit again. Highly recommend.

Great Christmas stay!

We had a great time during our Christmas stay at this cabin. It’s in a great quiet community as well as a great quiet small town. The views from the cabin were amazing, everything was fully stocked, central heat worked good for the cold winter has a wood burning fireplace although we did not use it. Stocked with an abundance of board games, snow shovel for the drive way, pots pans gas grill outside etc. me and my family really enjoyed our stay and would return again. The owners were totally accommodating and took care of everything we needed. We don’t have any complaints but the only thing I’d point out is the shower in the master bedroom is tiny, it’s fine for one person however I feel a rainfall shower head would suit this shower better than the angled shower head in this smaller space. Not a complaint just a suggestion. Other than that the other bathroom is normal sized and if you’re looking for a nice quiet get away especially in the winter don’t thing twice about booking this cozy cabin!

Wonderful cabin

Used as our base camp for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. Very comfortable cabin with great views of the lake and mountains. Sheets on bed in master bedroom had stains on them but not a deal breaker. Also a lot of crumbs on kitchen floor but again not a deal breaker. Most likely just a rush job on the cleaning side. Had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Gorgeous setting and view, lovely and well-appointed cabin.

Very happy and content with the property and instructions. Not normally a fan of cabins, as can be a bit “rustic” for us, but this home was ideal. Peaceful and stunningly scenic.
