The hotel adjoins the Mesa University campus. It has an excellent restaurant (Devil's Kitchen) with beautiful views. And it offers easy access to the campus walkways and facilities.

It’s a beautiful hotel, right on Colorado Mesa Uni campus. Plenty of sidewalks for a nice evening walk. The hotel seems new even if it isn’t. The coffee shop in the lobby even has GF muffins!

Unfortunately this hotel does not have empathy for travelers and 3rd party bookings. I was caught in wild fire on way to hotel and was rerouted away from hotel, which hotel was well aware of. I called hotel right away, but manager was not available. After, several days hotels.com got a hold of them and they declined to refund. Seems like a natural disaster should warrant a refund. I ended up having to pay for two hotels on the same night.

We were on a long, long motorcycle trip and the Maverick came at the perfect time. We needed a good clean rest a great meal and a great bar when we booked a hotel we didn’t realize the bar and restaurant in the hotel was going to be as amazing as it was, the staff was amazing. Food was amazing. Drinks were amazing. The area around the hotel is a little sketchy, but we had no issues with anything being touched in the parking lot.
