You’ll enjoy the privacy of the entire beautiful Chalet for you and your guests during your stay. Just bring your clothes, personal items, food, drinks, fishing tackle & life vests. The Chalet and property is pet free. Due to adjacent woods and rural location the property is a smoke and vape free property.
This secluded inviting, newly updated lakefront chalet boasts 3 bedrooms with USB charging ports, ceiling fans, 2 full baths, open concept, including a well-appointed kitchen with complimentary refreshments, snacks and coffee bar. A welcoming vaulted great room and lower gathering area. Desk workspace with ample plugs,USB's and task lighting. New paint, decor and furnishings throughout makes this chalet the perfect relaxation getaway. The upper and lower levels each have a wall of glass sliders providing stunning lake views and access to the covered upper and lower furnished decks including a large electric grill and Blackstone griddle for use in all seasons. This property includes ample parking with additional parking adjacent to the chalet, well-lit sidewalks and stairways which may be turned off to enjoy the evening under the stars. The outdoor space is just as amazing as the chalet, located in a lush wooded valley with deer, geese, ducks,birds, occasional eagles, breath-taking sunrises and lake views which you may enjoy from one of the two covered decks or the private dock

Outdoor activities abound with a new custom private boat dock with huge swim deck, ladder, covered tables and seating area, full fish cleaning station, electric, lights, and fans on a quiet No Wake Cove near ski area. The Chalet's private dock has an available open slip to bring your own boat (at no additional charge) swimming, fishing, use of paddle board, canoe, kayaks and lily pad float.(No jumping on Lilly pad) (** BRING YOUR OWN PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICES AS THEY ARE NOT PROVIDED, NO DIVING, Swim/water activities at your own risk, NO LIFEGUARD on Duty**). Enjoy the newly expanded outdoor fire-pit with large seating area and complimentary use of hot dog roasting sticks and pudgy pie makers. Firewood available for purchase and flame clicker is provided. Due to conservation, erosion control and neighboring properties, wood gathering is strictly prohibited.
If you prefer to venture during your stay at the Eagles Nest Chalet, you will find a host of availability including a convenience store and a quaint shop with sandwiches, ice cream, candy and convenience items just a few minutes drive. Local restaurants, three marinas, fuel, bait, local bars, liquor store, grocery and pizza are also nearby. Don’t forget to plan an outing to one of the areas many local award winning wineries or hire a local tour van to take you to the many wine trail vineyards for wine, micro-brews, local entertainment, 6 minutes from Lake of Egypt golf course, about 30 minutes from SIU, about 25 minutes to John A. Logan, food, unique shopping, and gifts. The chalet is within 12 miles of 4 of the wineries. maybe a zip lines tour is your interest. visit, the longest zip line in Illinois just 9 miles away,
For outdoors enthusiasts, the chalet is in proximity to several state parks that have, hiking, biking, seasonal waterfalls, cliffs for climbers, zip lines, beautiful natural areas and awe-inspiring views like Herin Pond, Little Black Slough (35 min) with boardwalk views of cypress and Tupelo Bayou, or Bald Knob Cross (52min). State parks include: Ferne Cliff SP (10 min) Giant City SP (30 min) Little Grand Canyon SP (46 min) Garden of The Gods SP (60 min) If your interest is biking rather than hiking, the biking enthusiasts will appreciate Tunnel Hill biking trail that offers 45 miles of trail through natures beauty (24 min).
The Lake of Egypt has local vendors offering pontoon and jet ski rentals and personal watercraft launch for a nominal fee.
