We booked this accommodation through Wotif for 5 people, but on arrival were told there was no room large enough for our booking. Reception advised a manager would call to resolve the issue, but no one ever followed up. We were ultimately placed in a room with only two beds, with no cot or alternative provided, meaning we had to squash in. The entire place is extremely disorganised. The young staff on reception and in the bar were clearly undertrained and unsupported. This isn’t a criticism of them personally — management has failed to provide adequate training. The bar area was messy, with empty drinks left around. The beer tasted awful and had to be refunded and replaced. When we tried to order dinner, we waited over 40 minutes, then followed up and were told it would be another 30+ minutes. By then it was 8pm and we had young children with us. Again, the staff member taking orders appeared overwhelmed and inexperienced. We also witnessed another family turned away around 7pm because their booked three-bedroom accommodation was not available — clearly not an isolated issue. The only positive was that the room itself was clean. Overall, this stay was exactly as bad as the reviews suggested. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone, especially families. Management seriously needs to improve booking management and staff training.

The hotel is looking very tired and needs an update badly.There were no coffee, tea or sugar satchets in the room. No milk or cups.no phone in room to contact reception so had to go down and get some. Tables not cleared in cafe at breakfast for quite some time. I get the impression that they are well understaffed but those I dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

We arrived for a late check in could not open the door with the code the hotel gave no after hours contact and no receptionist the hotel said call booing company witch is wotif now they say they can’t do anything for me because it’s a no refund policy how can it be we turned up to use the room and couldn’t open the door with no refund and no room

The hotel is well located with a nice view on the marina. The stay was very pleasant apart from the check in. First of all, my partner called the hotel a day before to inquire about breakfast, asking if it is including or extra and the person on the phone was very rude and said they couldn't provide this information over the phone, before actually answering! Then, when we arrived at the hotel, we were given a room number and the code to this room. We entered and started walking around the room, only to realise there were clothes and other items, so there was already someone occupying the room.... that's a pretty strong breach of privacy for this person! The booking system should be updated.... Then we were given another room on another floor and when we came in, we realised the bathroom hadn't been cleaned! The cleaner who came to clean the bathroom was lovely and even though it wasn't her fault that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned in the first place, she worked as quickly as possible so we could use the bathroom. Overall good but could be much nicer with a better organisation.

Prior to booking, I enquired for an early check in due to a wedding I needed to attend and told no problem, I sent a message asking for check in details the day before, no answer, on arrival I was advised $20 fee for early check in, no issue, was then advised room would be ready in 30 minutes, advised again another 30 mins, all up waited 1hr 10 mins. This establishment is obviously understaffed and in need of maintenance.

The room curtains were tipped for the price that we paid pwe night did was not satisfactory. I was disappointed that the bathroom in the room was renovated, but there were things that were not completed correctly or nit sealed at all.

This is not a hotel, but a front for a scam. Upon trying to check in (late, having informed the hotel we would be checking in late and having received acknowledgement) there was nobody at reception. Nobody answered the phone, the front doors were wide open, looked liked a total mess. The only people present were the police arresting someone. We were forced to find accomodation elsewhere - not easy or cheap late at night with young children. In an attempt to get a refund in the following days - Hotels.com refused, saying they will only provide a refund if the hotel agrees. Of course the hotel did not agree, saying they don’t do check ins after 8pm, and if the guests don’t turn up before 8, they lose the money - even when they have a previous agreement to a late check in. And Hotel.com’s response? Sorry, nothing we can do. How does Hotels.com take money for a service they haven't provided, knowing they have not provided, then blame a third party for not being able “to process a refund”. Don’t ever stay at this hotel, and don’t ever use Hotels.com
