I had to contact VRBO to cancel my trip. They relocated me to a nearby hotel. The host would NOT respond to me to give me check in instructions. Could not access the property. The host didn’t respond to messages in the app before I got there (for months in advance), so I shouldn’t have been surprised. I ended up almost stuck in the rain-soaked yard where I waited for over an hour to get in. From what I could see of the outside, there was a tarp over one of the pull-outs, probably because of a leak. I loved the idea of having my own personal petting zoo, so I was super disappointed that things went the way they did.

The hosts were super friendly, nice and helpful with our questions. The goats were 90% of why we booked this location and boy were they worth it! Our personal collection of goats were very friendly and wanted nothing more than to be pet. We were allowed to go see the other animals on the farm as well so it was overall a great experience with lots of good memories.

Discovered this very local listing (I live 6ish miles away) while looking for a unique and convenient venue to host my recently discovered biological brother for our first face to face meeting. The timing was challenging, as the college nearby was holding “Parents Weekend” leaving all the Ashland area hotel rooms booked. But as I was familiar with Pactamere Farm, this spot intrigued me. My brother was wrapping up a busy conference week in NYC prior to his visit with me in Hanover County, and this seemed a perfectly tranquil spot to unwind and decompress before heading back to London at the end of the weekend.He had never stayed in a “caravan” (trailers and RVs in the UK) before, and was delighted with the accommodations. He enjoyed his morning java communing with the neighbors (goats and sheep) while awaiting my arrival to whisk him off for get-togethers and activities.There was so much conversation and laughter that there was regrettably little thought for photos, but so many wonderful memories were made.When the occasion arises to have visitors in the future, I will certainly consider leasing this spot again! I highly recommend it!
