Hotel team were very nice and welcoming. Room was clean and had all the items required for a comfortable stay. I booked for 2 nights and traded a room clean for a drink at the bar, worth the trade! Only had 2 issues… my room had a street lamp right outside the window and a blackout option would help with sleeping. Small issue but did make sleeping a challenge! Secondly, shower couldn’t decide what temperature it wanted to settle on and during use fluctuated between warm and scorching! Easily fixed by the in-house plumber! Nice area and only a short walk from all the food and bars.

Staff were nice but the area in the hotel we were in was loud. I was woken twice through the night by a dog whining and someone ceying in the hall so not very soundproof. The room was clean but a bit dated and they are not very generous with tea, milk etc

Checknin was slick. Room was ok, towel had silicone and stains on. Pillows lumpy and flat, bed was ok. Heating was noisy, hot water was very hot and cold was warm. No face clth/wash cloth available. Bar closed early, we were told we couldnt order cocktails at 22.40 beer wine or simple drinks only. Breakfast was very good.

My wife and I were kept awake on Friday night by a very loud private party in the bar. We are both in our seventies. If we were told in advance we would not have booked the room. The music stopped at midnight.

Nice bar, friendly staff, checkin in great, food in bar lovely, comfy bed, ideal location. Room was a lithle on the small side, it was near the lift/stairwell, and on main street, but being Christmas it was maybe busier than usual.
