We stayed for one week during our first international trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House keeping cleaned the rooms daily and were very thorough; parking was directly across the street and affordable compared to other parking locations! The St. Enoch shopping centre and Princes square along with all downtown amenities were all within walking distance! Daily complimentary breakfast was very good with many options! We had an excellent stay!

The Holiday Inn Express Riverside was great for our 2 night stay in Glasgow. The room was small but very clean and the bed was comfortable. The pub across the street was a little noisy but only until 11 pm. It is about 900m walk from Glasgow Central and 500m from St. Enoch subway. So well located. Also a terrific breakfast was included. Not suitable for a long stay but comfortable enough for 2 nights

This was a twin room, so logically the room facilities should cater for TWO people, so why was there only ONE chair, why was the bathroom shelving unable to entertain both sets of towels for two people leaving the second persons towels stuffed on shelf in the bedroom. Holiday Inn aren’t alone in this shameless con, almost every hotel chain does this, and Expedia is as much to blame for it continuing unabated as the hoteliers and it needs to stop, it also I would think breaches the various uk consumer laws because if you are selling the room as a two person or more room it should cater for said amount of persons in all aspects of the room facilities including seating. Other than that the room was okay if very dated in decor, it’s unfortunate because the staff are wonderful, the breakfast good and Glasgow is great.

The fire alarm made my last night horrible as my kids and I got woken up twice and evacuated once out of the builing at 2am. Otherwise, it was a very good place to stay.

Great staff, rooms and location

Delighted with our stay! Greeted from the beginning with a friendly check-in which included great information. Breakfast was busy at times but staff worked hard and very well to ensure everything ran smoothly. Very happy with the room, air conditioning was easy to use when neeed. Bathroom was terrific with a great shower. Loved the location by the river and Glasgow Green nearby. We had a couple of requests during our time there which were acted upon with great care. Thanks to all the staff who made it a lovely stay.

Perfect location

The room was slightly small for 4 people, however we were only there for 1 night so didn’t spend much time in it. The location is perfect, right next to st Enochs and having the river right next to it makes for a nice walk. The location is the reason we have stayed at this hotel on more than 1 location. Having discount parking so close is a massive perk too!

The staff have been amazing. They helped us when we were on route with the questions about emissions in Glasgow. When a bad storm came through so it was not desirable to drive they extended our stay with no fuss. The breakfast is full English +++ and is great It is very well located for walking or catching the hop on bus
