The hotel is a little dated but okay. The staff is helpful. Had transfer because the area was very dark and people were scarce. It was a little scary for me (only because I am not used to such places). Taxis are hard to come by so when it rains and it is already dark, it is hard to get around.

Communication was a little difficult due to the language barrier but the staff were helpful; we requested help with cutting a cantaloupe and they obliged. The surroundings and the room was great - it was spacious and had what we needed for a comfortable stay.

A lovely open room for sleeping on floor mattresses, with table and pillows in the centre of the room. Very nice bathroom facilities. No chairs.

Stayed one night. A few minutes walk from the bullet train Shinkansen at Gifu-Hashima. Travelling as a couple with 10 month baby. They gave us three bed room. No travel cost so had our own solution. Ate in restaurant but limited English. Staff struggled but reception staff were much better. Using photos of the food and google translate worked. WiFi excellent. If you had a car there was what looked like loads of free parking. Lots of vending machines of course in hotel and area. Family mart (like 7-eleven), but having cone from central Osaka this place had a rural feel and was the highest building in the area.
