So my wife gifted me for my birthday at weekend at Gettysburg. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites at Gettysburg. This hotel is located right next to some Outlet stores. There is ample free parking. Checking in was very simple. I checked in in the evening and the front desk staff was very friendly. She told me where to park in order to get to my room easier. She reminded me that there was coffee and if it did not taste fresh that she would make me a fresh pot. Our room was a suite with a King Bed. The room was very spacious with a computer desk, lounge sofa, microwave and fridge. Bathroom was spacious with large walk in shower. Hotel had full hot breakfast in the morning with very attentive staff. My only complaint, and it is not anything major is that the television in the room is quite small for the size of the room. Other than that, I will definitely recommend staying at this hotel if you are in Gettysburg. The Hotel is close to the center of town and to all historic visiting areas.

A most satisfactory stopover

This was a one-night stopover before turning around and heading home. It delivered what I needed, being entirely clean, comfortable, quiet, and safe. The omelets and fried potatoes in the breakfast area weren't kept quite hot enough, but that was about it.

Parking lot security otherwise good stay

The property looks very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk people and breakfast area people were very nice. Two issues both of which were serious in my opinion. The door to our room 202 did not latch which we did not realize until the next morning, but we were able to just push it open every time. We told the front desk and they said they would have maintenance look at it so hopefully they did.The other issue was in the parking lot. We had bikes on the back of our vehicle and during the night someone unzipped the cover and used bolt cutters to cut through the chains locking the bikes onto the bike rack. My husband believes he scared them away when he went out to get something because they weren’t able to steal the bikes. Just want to post this so people are aware if they’re traveling with bikes.
