This house is a haven of peace and tranquility in an exceptional environment unique to the Normandy countryside. In the countryside and on the edge of the forest, calm is absolute! House renovated in an authentic vintage style. Southwest exposure, sunny all day!
Welcome to paradise ... our ponies will be your children's best friends during your stay!
The house is located in the countryside in a small valley. Your closest neighbors will be the animals (They are naturally in the field, separate and fenced from the garden). The property extends over a 1 hectare field, its garden is closed and it is maintained all year round by a gardener.
The walks, on foot from the house are numerous and magnificent. A small river is accessible from the fields of the property. Your children will love wading there! It is ideally exposed (South West) and is always bathed in sunshine, just like the terrace which communicates on the ground with the kitchen and the dining room.
This house, which we call 'Genneville' after its village, has been a family property for 4 generations. We completely renovated it with my decorator and designer friend (sacperlipopette), We thought of its renovation in a spirit of openness, clarity, well-being where every detail is taken care of.
The terrace has been enlarged by a teak dek or you will enjoy wonderful sunbathing in the deckchairs. BBQ and teak garden furniture (table 10 people) + side table for children (4 people).
The kitchen, the dining room and the living room are connecting rooms. The wood stove is very pleasant when the evening coolness sets in.
Two bedrooms are located on the ground floor: the "countryside" bedroom and the "children's" bedroom with two bunk beds. The third "blue" bedroom is located on an intermediate landing, accessible from the living room.
The attic will certainly be your children's favorite space. They will find a desk and a school board there, a teepee, a playmobil games area and the TV corner. A double bed is installed in the mezzanine.
All bedding is upscale. Size of the beds: - "Blue" and "country" rooms: 160 x 200 - Mezanine: 140 x 190 - Bedroom with bunk beds: 90 x 200 - single beds in the attic: 90 x 200
It is necessary to cross the attic to access the bathroom with WC. Presence of WC on the ground floor also.
Possibility of meals prepared for your arrival (or at another time). POssibility to pick up your supermarket drive before your stay and possibility of babysitting.
A baby high chair and bed are available.
PLEASE NOTE :
Only two bedrooms (the country room and the blue room) have doors. The ground floor bedroom with two bunk beds is separated from the living room by a curtain, and the double bed in the mezzanine connects to the two single beds. To access the bathroom, you must cross the first floor (the space with the mezzanine and two single beds).
The house is a century-old authentic Normand one, which,despite our care, still bears some marks of its age and natural surroundings.
Although the house can accommodate 10 people, it is more suitable for 8 people in case of bad weather when the garden cannot be enjoyed.
With necessary supplement : - A supplement is requested for animals (15⏠/ stay) - Wood (logs) for the fireplace (from October to April) : 10⏠/ day
IN OPTION : - The bed linen and towels are optional (25 ⏠/ double bed & 20⏠/ single bed). The beds are then made on your arrival and towels are provided.
Please note: the parking space is sometimes "gimmicky". When the weather is wet, provide adequate shoes for those who will be parked in the way.
