Hello Helen, Thank you for taking the time to review the Belmercer Motel, we appreciate all guest feedback. However on this occasion we are left baffled by your review. You stayed with the Belmercer Motel for two nights and made no complaints or comments to any staff on duty regarding any concerns you had. On check in you were advised that reception would happily store your luggage until you returned in the afternoon from your appointments. If you were unhappy with the price on-line you were under no obligations to proceed with making the reservation online and supplying an online booking agency with your credit card details to charge. We will have maintenance look into the issue. In the future please note that you can contact a staff member if there are any issues with your room so we can hopefully rectify them while you are still in house to make your stay more comfortable. I am not sure whether you mean that the cover for the single bed was rusty or if the cover left a rust residue on the single bed when removed. You booked a Standard Queen Unit for Two Adults only via Wotif.com, despite there clearly being space to add information about any children travelling with you. You wilfully lied and mislead the team at Wotif and at the Belmercer Motel. It was only when a staff member from the Belmercer Motel called you to check your arrival time, and the number of guests did you admit to there being children travelling with you also. It would serve you for future travel to remember that when the booking site or agency asks for the number of guests, you must include all adults and children at the time of booking this way you ensure you are shown the appropriate rooms and rates. As you would not book a flight for two adults and then assume that your two children would fly free of charge. It is extremely unfair to attack the staff member on duty by stating they were rude, our staff members pride themselves on their friendly and helpful demeanour and were kind and courteous to you and your family whilst at reception, even when your children continued to cross into a staff only section and had to be gestured back to reception multiple times during your time at reception. It is our hope that this experience helps you to correctly book your accommodation in the future as not all properties would have been able to accommodate a family of four at 6:30pm, when you had only booked for two adults.
