Disappointing Stay, Despite Friendly Staff

My husband and I joined friends for a quick weekend trip to Gatlinburg and booked this hotel since our friends were already staying here. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk receptionist was fantastic—super friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our stay. When we got to our room (324), the front panel of the AC/heating unit was lying on the floor, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor. We thought it might’ve been a cleaning product at first, but quickly determined that to not be the case. (The smell was so bad we slept with the window open.) I called the front desk and was told maintenance would fix the AC unit while we were out, which he did. Fast forward to Sunday around 1 AM (after a long day at Anakeesta and Dollywood). We open the door to our room and immediately notice the panel had fallen off again, I called the front desk *again* and was told there was no maintenance available and we’d need to switch rooms. While I appreciated the staff trying to help, it was frustrating that the problem wasn’t fixed the first time. We were moved to room 315, a suite, which was a bit nicer, but overall, it still didn’t meet our expectations. The entire property needs a deep clean and possibly new management. This place has been neglected for a long time. Given the condition and the issues we encountered, I wouldn’t recommend this place, I’d suggest looking for other accommodations!!

the tile in the shower needed to be steam cleaned ...it's dirty. The faucet aerator was missing so the water is difficult to control and the water was scalding hot...burned my fingers a little...the maids not very efficient , I saw a fork and a lollypop under the bed...there was a trashcan in the hall that was full to the brim and not emptied for days...we took videos by the way..and the worst part was how unfriendly the clerk was...We respond very well to smiling faces..overall everthing was old and wornout looking to ever recommend the to friends...

The staff was friendly. They let us park there before check-in. It was decent but the bed was hard. There was a small breakfast in the morning. But it was right across from the convention center conference that we were attending.

There wasn’t anything unique about this property. It was very nasty well on kept rooms and hallways were nasty the sheets on the bed were nasty The whole establishment was well unkept why would Windham put their name on an established like that shame on them I will never stay at another micro tear by window

Our room smelled like mold, the AC wasn't cold, toilet clogged up and when we asked the front desk for help, we were told to grab a plunger (not even kidding, they were sitting in a box in a storage room next to the desk. We've stayed here multiple times and each time it seems to get worse so this will be the last time.

There was dirty socks in the room, carpet was peeling off the walls and the bathroom faucet you had to hold on to with both hands just to turn it on. It was not tight to the sink. The mirror behind the bed was filthy. The ice machine had moldy ice coming out of it.
