Bearfoot Retreat is a gorgeous 2 bedroom cabin designed for relaxation, romance, and fun. Located in the desirable Chalet Village community, it’s less than 3 miles from Downtown Gatlinburg, 8 miles from Pigeon Forge, and 1 mile to Ober Gatlinburg ski resort. Access Stoplight 10 in downtown Gatlinburg with an eight minute drive, avoiding the usual headache and traffic of parkway access. If you're looking for the ideal log cabin getaway experience, Bearfoot Retreat is just the place you're looking for.

Enjoy excellent mountain and ski lift views with 2 spacious king suites with whirlpool tubs on separate levels for complete privacy. The efficient split floor plan has a large kitchen and living area on the main floor, full game room and king suite on the lower level with another suite on the top floor. All three floors have covered decks with a different view for everybody's preference! Outdoor cooking, seating, and relaxing is offered throughout each deck including a hot tub, dining table, rocking chairs, and swing.

Mountain views like this are hard to come by without the usual endlessly winding and dangerous climb up Smoky Mountain roads. Bearfoot Retreat is one of the most easily accessible cabins in Chalet Village, with pristine FLAT concrete private parking for two cars.

The first thing you'll notice is the unique log cabin look with an inviting entryway. This begins your vacation experience at the comfortable cabin you may never want to leave (even with dozens of activities within a short drive!).

Enter the cabin into an open entertaining space, with comfortable couches, large TV, gourmet kitchen, and gas log fireplace. Show off your cooking skills with updated appliances, granite counter, and fully-stocked cupboards. For the grill master in you, there's also a grill out on the deck. Enjoy your home-cooked mountain meal at the dining table comfortably seating 6.

Head down a flight of stairs to the spacious game room, where the competitive juices start flowing across games of pool, shuffleboard, and plenty of table-top board gaming options. The game room also includes ample seating, a flat screen TV and access to a covered deck with hot tub.

Our 1,900 square foot cabin comfortably accommodates groups of 1 – 6 guests and provides vacation amenities throughout. Each bedroom is beautifully appointed with luxury linens and sufficient pillows important for a good night’s sleep, highlighted by the private deck off the top floor master suite. A pullout sofa in the living room accommodates the 5th and 6th guest comfortably.

The cabin offers flat panel TV’s in each bedroom with Charter cable, as well as Wi-Fi and phone for those who need to stay connected. Enjoy premium cable channels including HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and more if you're looking for a night in around the fire.

If you are not accustomed to windy mountain roads, I would strongly encourage you to arrive before dark for the first-time arrival. Parking was good for two cars. Cabin was clean and well-stocked. This was a rare time that we did not take advantage of the whirlpool tubs or the hot tub, but only because we had a busy itinerary away from the cabin during our weekend stay. The pool table and games in the basement were solid! Loved the decorated tree too which made the cabin feel festive!One oddity. . . several of the interior doors had clear glass and even though they had some type of covering (blinds or sheers), it was slightly uncomfortable for the lower level bathroom since it was facing the game room.Also, the front steps were slick when they were damp or wet. Adding some non-skid treads might be helpful. And the welcome mat was retaining water from rain that had ended earlier in the day.Would definitely stay at this property again!

The property is well maintained and convenient to downtown Gatlinburg and hiking in the Smokies. The chalet set up worked great for our family. The kitchen is well stocked making meal prep quick and easy when we needed to cook. The road to the chalet driveway is one lane, so there are some spots you may need ti stop and allow a car to pass before you can go.

Stay overall was amazing! Only thing we would love to see to book in the future is better lighting in the game room, specifically over the pool table and a mini fridge for drinks. Better lighting on all balconies would be nice overall. Notes for future use of grill and fireplace that they are on timers, we were confused but figured it out eventually. Highly satisfied otherwise!

We were looking forward to staying in this cabin for so long. It did not disappoint! The cabin is so unbelievably beautiful and it's in the perfect location. Our girls (ages 7 and 9) loved it as well. The bedrooms are so cozy and big- they felt really special to have their own little retreat area at night! The game room was perfect and well maintained, along with the hot tub which we enjoyed almost every day! I loved getting out on the 3rd floor deck early in the morning with coffee to watch the sun rise over the mountains and look for bears below (no luck- but we did see so many in the neighboring area). The girls also loved the porch swing!!! The days can be so busy; navigating the crowds & lines and enjoying all of the wonderful activities- so heading back to this cabin each day was such a joy. We could tell it was decorated with love and is maintained with pride. Thank you to Stuart and family for offering us this special opportunity and experience we will never forget! 1109 Lower Alpine Way will stay in our hearts forever!!

This was a beautiful cabin perfect for a getaway in Gatlinburg. It’s close to downtown (will need to drive) but far enough away to enjoy the mountains. We saw a bear everyday and the last day we were there we saw a mama bear and 3 cubs.

Great house in the mountains

This house was in a great location if you’re looking to be out of the downtown area but easy to drive into town. It was a beautiful home and sitting on the porch you felt like you were in the mountains. We got to see bears in the area. The house had everything we needed for cooking, grilling, tv, games, hot tub. Stuart was easy to contact if you needed anything. Internet worked fast and efficient.We would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again.

Perfect Spot

It was the perfect spot for our family while visiting the area. The house was a great size for our family of four. It had everything we needed. The game room was fun for the down time in the evening. Views from the top level were beautiful in the morning and evening. We even saw a few black bears while we were there. I would stay here again for sure.

Quiet retreat among the tree tops

This quiet, beautiful cabin nestled into the mountaintop hillside was the perfect retreat and an excellent location for exploring the Great Smokies, Gatlinburg, and Dollywood. We enjoyed the comforts of home at the end of a long day. The cabin and hot tub were clean and we took a soak nearly every evening. This was one of the most relaxing vrbos we have ever rented. Owner was extremely responsive to our questions. We were delighted to see a bear just one house away resting in a tree. We hope to return!

Great location and very comfortable property

We have stayed in this cabin quite a few times and will do so again. The host, Stuart, responds quickly to questions and concerns. On this trip, there was an issue with one of the AC units so that the upstairs bedroom did not cool properly and it was quite warm. It was the holiday weekend and despite the host's best efforts, repair service was not available for several days. As a result, we lost the use of that bedroom for 3 nights. Fortunately the lower level bedroom AC unit worked fine. These things happen and Stuart handled it as best he could and kept us informed every step of the way.We still had a wonderful trip to the Smokies and as soon as we settle on dates will be booking this lovely property for our Fall trip.
