Apartment located in the historic center of Funchal, a few minutes walk from the city center, just below Forte do Pico.
House recently restored and transformed into two independent T1 apartments.
It presents a modern design, very comfortable and welcoming, with a magnificent view over the bay of Funchal, making it possible, at the New Year's Eve party, to watch and enjoy the fantastic firework display on the common terrace of the building (2 apartments) .
Consisting of a spacious bedroom (double bed) with complete private bathroom, a cozy living room with a sofa bed (2 people) and a fully equipped kitchen.
It has a private garage for one car (parking B), without any additional cost.
Excellent geographical location, close to the access to highways, so you can move around the island and enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes, and very close to the historic center of Funchal, and you can even get around on foot.

Only a few things to note...

The location is beautiful. Yes: You will hike up and down but you will love the space, the view, the cleanliness. The friendliness of the man who checked us in and the accommodation of an earlier check-in. The water pressure in the shower and the inability for it to get truly hot are our only real concerns. I imagine the hosts will work on this.

Amazing place

We stayed there for 4 days only but it was great.the location the view was very nice. It was great to sit on evening after all day hiking and just relax and watch the town from the top as qell as big ships coming and going from port. Thank You for all service. Amazing place!

Crazy Location

The apartment itself was lovely…very clean and tastefully decorated, and it met almost all of my needs. Finding and getting to the apartment was insane. The only way to get to it is to drive up a narrow one way street/hill the WRONG way. And the hill is so steep it’s like being on a roller coaster. Once you make it up the hill, you drive along a very narrow alleyway to get to the apartment and garage. The rental car I was in sustained damage from scraping the cement wall opposite the garage. If you stay here and rent a car, do yourself a favor and get the smallest one you can. The apartment also has no air conditioning or window screens. It is close enough to the harbor/town that you can walk, but beware of those hills coming home! Judite was lovely and responsive. I only wish she had been more proactive in giving me directions to the apartment, knowing I was driving a rental from the airport.

Beautiful view

The apartment was very spacious The view is really marvelous and we loved staying on the terrace resting after are walking around. The area is very quite no noises at all. It takes 15 minutes to walk downtown You have to like walking up and down, but Madeira is all like this

Great Apartment and Views!

Very clean, and well setup apartment. Great views, and location is good to. Don't let other reviewers scare you about the hills. Yes, it's hilly, all of Madeira is hilly, but taxis will take you up to the apartment. We stopped our taxis at the cudesac below just to save them the hassle. The apartment is only 100 feet up the road. Downlaod the Bolt Taxi app, and you'll be happy.

Nice apartment…. Everything nice and clean and comfortable. Would have been nice to have Air conditioning as we did struggle to sleep at night… We are fairly fit 60 year olds and managed to walk up and down the very step road twice a day sometimes 3 times.

Very clean comfortable property and very central for town. Views are amazing and enjoyed watching the cruise ships arriving. Quite a steep hill to climb but this you get used to climbing!! Would definitely recommend this apartment and when we return we would stay here in the future.

Great place to stay. We had a car and managed to get it into the garage but only because the other visitors did not have one. I think trying to fit 2 cars in would be tight. Otherwise really good place to stay. Very friendly owner.

Great views

The apartment is lovely and very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Wonderful views from the lounge and terrace of Funchal and its harbour area with the sea beyond. The only drawback of the apartment is the approach road which is really steep and narrow and our car struggled to get up the slope. The garage is very difficult to drive in and out of due to the tight turning circle. It was so nerve racking we only tried it once and parked elsewhere for the rest of the stay.

Great views

This location provides a great panoramic view of the city and sea. Also a short walk to tons of restaurants, (yes it is an uphill walk home, but don't come to Madeira if you don't want to do some hill climbing). The apartment has good indoor and outdoor spaces. The house is well equiped, but could use a fan If you have a car there is a garage but it is a narrow and very steep road, is a challenge.

Away from the English weather

We chose this property having done a lot of searching, and we were not disappointed . It was very modern and well equipped. The view over Funchal and the harbour was marvellous, and it kept us glued for hours. We really enjoyed our 4 weeks, particularly because the weather was so good. We decided not to rent a car so it was quite an effort to walk up to the property. You need to be fit as the last 2 climbs are very steep, besides the roads and steps before you even get to them. Judite and Rui were very helpful when our friend visited us.

Lovely Location

This is a very nice modern apartment in a great location only a short walk from Funchal centre. Great view from the front windows and terrace. We knew it would be a bit of a climb on foot but that did not present a problem for us - it might for less able visitors. It has good internet though a smart TV would be an improvement. We were a bit disappointed with the lack of information available and since we were not met on arrival by the manager (only by a neighbour) we felt we were left to our own devices in this regard (some sort of booklet with info regarding nearest supermarket, when to put trash out, how to deal with recycling etc. would have been helpful). Access by car is difficult as you need to climb a steep hill in first gear to reach the Travessa and then you have to turn into a tight double garage to park. Not really a problem if you are the only car but more difficult if the guests in the other apartment also have one. Overall though I would highly recommend this holiday home.

Superb apartment

My wife and I had a super week in this gorgeous apartment, it is so well equiped and is all of a high standard. Super views over the harbour and mountains from the terrace which is south east facing so has sun from sunrise to late afternoon. There is a supermarket about 10 minutes walk away but it is a fairly steep walk back - everywhere on Madeira is either uphill or downhill! We hired a car for the week and although we were kindly sent instructions of how to get to the appartment, as we arrived after dark, we found it easier to be guided by Google maps! Would definately recomend this property and would love to return.

Sehr schöne Wohnung mit Terrasse und tollen Blick auf Funchal und das Meer. Weg nach oben schon etwas beschwerlich, da steiler Anstieg. Zufahrtsstraße sehr eng, steil und außergewöhnlich. Wohnung gut ausgestattet. Man hat alles, was man benötigt. Bei technischen Problemen ist Vermieter stets zur Stelle und löst das Problem. Jederzeit zu empfehlen.
