This relaxing bed and breakfast getaway is located in a rural setting with gorgeous mountain and countryside views. Just a short 30-minute drive inland from the seaside township of Oamaru in New Zealand's South Island, it is the perfect place for couples looking for a romantic break, or for those seeking a true kiwi farm experience with the property being located on a 1150-hectare working sheep and beef farm.
Although the former school is over 100 years old, it has been sensitively renovated, keeping its historic notions while adding modern comfort. There is a comfortable queen-size bed, a modern bathroom, and two relaxing outdoor baths. Sun streams through the windows in the afternoons and into the warm and inviting living and bedroom areas. The property comes complete with inviting furniture, full kitchen facilities, a coffee machine, a smart TV, a washing machine, and an outdoor deck area with a large garden section.
The breathtaking surrounding landscape is authentic and picturesque, as this bed and breakfast accommodation is located on a sheep and beef farm encompassing a total of 1150 hectares of country land. In the early 20th century, it operated as a rural school.
Guests can enjoy the delicious continental farmhouse breakfast, which is provided, and help themselves to fresh free-range eggs from the hen house. Linens, fresh towels, heating, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and parking are also provided for a convenient and comfortable stay.
