Just beyond the dune is the most sought-after beach access on the island. You benefit from a 200-yard buffer between the access and the seasonal 4x4 barrier - without a single house in between. Don't be surprised when there aren't other vacationers competing for your beach spot. You can spread out, relax, and enjoy the white sand and ocean breeze. The south-facing surf is the final destination for the tepid crystal blue waters of the Gulf Stream. You will find the water temperature noticeably warmer than beaches north of the point.
