Lovely setting by a lake despite being in a busy commercial area. Excellent rooms, welcoming staff, excellent breakfast. Dinner a little disappointing for the high price.

Just about everything was good. Staff, food,room. Breakfast was better on the Sunday am than the Monday am. Choice was not there the second day. We enjoyed the walks and the view from balcony was stunning. Dog friendly.

French Best Westerns take it to a different level. Room was good. Bed was good. Food was excellent. Good breakfast spread (albeit very continental).

Wonderful stay

This hotel is a great experience - very kind front desk, comfortable rooms nice pool facility and a really well structured breakfast. Also the location is perfect, a little subtracted from the city center and located close to the water and the Villa Margaret which is a wonderful cozy place on a summer night.

Is this Best Western ? “Pinch Me !”

My granddaughter’s (who is 15) face lit-up when hotel staff informed that there was full spa facility .She was up early every am doing her beauty rituals between the sauna and steam. We were given a upgrade in the room, beds were luxurious, like sleeping on a cloud Food was in very good variety. It was a wonderful half term School break for all of us . Definitely will stay at a Best Western again.

Quiet, relaxing location

After being given a room with almost no view of the lake, we were moved to a Lakeview room, as we had booked. This was done with a minimum of fuss and handled professionally. The area is quiet and relaxing with walks around the lake. You really need your own transport to access this hotel and to be able to explore the area as there are some great restaurants and attractions but not within walking distance.

First trip to this area and picked this hotel from write ups. I didn't go wrong. Great setting, fresh look, comfortable rooms, good breakfast (but exactly the same as all other hotels) and friendly staff. IT was really hot that day and the AC in the rooms worked very well. Normally EU hotels have little AC or non. This hotel had the best AC of any EU hotel in over the last 20 yrs. WI-FI not so good as only down side. Local entertainment and food was good as well. I will stay here again.

My two daughters I stayed at this hotel whilst my younger daughter, who is part of the Junior British Sailing team competed in the European Championship. Friendly welcome on arrival, however the room was on the small side for a family of three. The view from the room was lovely overlooking the lake. The bathroom was quite nice except the shower cubicle was quite narrow. The room wasn't the cleanest as dust was visible under the fridge and old bottle corks were found in the cupboard. The pool and gym were lovely. The only other down points were that the hotel had run out bathrobes, the tea and coffee making facilities were very limited, not what you would expect from a hotel of this star rating and not really value for money as breakfast was an extra 15 euros per head.

Pleasant, friendly & efficient

The hotel has a very nice outlook a bit outside the main town. It is a smaller hotel and very friendly. Check in was about the quickest I've ever experienced - a greeting, check of my name and had over of room key. No fuss or credit card swiping, all done in less than 60 seconds. The room was spacious and adequate, the only real downside being no light near or in the shower. The bed was comfortable rather than luxurious. There was a modest balcony with a nice view. Soundproofing was a bit lacking (some road noise etc) but not unbearable. The restaurant was excellent and well priced, although the menu perhaps a little limited and biased towards fish (very limited vegetarian options). But the food I ordered on both nights was beautiful, and the wine was also excellent and well priced. Staff were pleasant, friendly, competent, tolerated my very poor French and generally spoke reasonable English. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would happily stay there again.

Absolutely Nothing To Complain About

The hotel is well placed near the Lorient waterfront and tourist facilities and extremely quiet. The rooms, staff and restaurant are all excellent. But being part of a chain means that it lacks that French charm that you might get at a smaller establishment.
