Madame Vacances - accommodation in French Alps

This is a luxury hotel with fantastic views over the lake. Valet parking and luggage transfer (you can get to your car if you forget something) which was really helpful. Housekeeping is superb and the hotel is spotless. Be aware of the difference between La Table and Salon restaurants, especially if you only want a continental breakfast, as it isn't immediately obvious. Excellent selection of drinks and wine by the glass and helpful bar staff. My spoken French didn't rate with them, so English became the simplest option, but all the staff including the valet parking staff speak very good English. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk into Annecy along the top of the lake - giving you time to appreciate the gorgeous views when the weather allows. There are a lot of hire boat options, including pedalos, and several guided tours of different lengths down the lake. Annecy was very busy (in mid May) so the popular viewpoints are very crowded. Lots of restaurants and cafes along the little waterways, and it's a lovely old city full of interesting architecture.

Excellent location for train and bus, short walk in Annecy old town. preferred to have my meals out. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely short stay. Hotel impeccably clean including the huge spa area. Alfredo was very supportive.
