## Emplacement
Fréjus has preserved a large number of monuments from its past. Indeed, with 2,000 years of history, this town of Art and History in the Var region boasts a significant historical and architectural heritage.
The Roman remains are the oldest traces of its past, and include an amphitheatre, a theater and an aqueduct, of which a few pillars and arcades remain. Dating back to the end of the 1st century, the arena could accommodate up to 12,000 spectators who came to watch gladiatorial combat!
In the old town, the Fréjus Episcopal Group, built between the 5th and 16th centuries, is also part of this remarkable heritage. It includes the beautiful Saint-Léonce cathedral, with its Romanesque bell tower and two naves linked by several arcades. The octagonal baptistry, dating from the 5th century and one of the oldest in France, the episcopal palace transformed into the town hall, and the Romanesque cloister, whose wooden ceiling has been decorated with characters and animals, both real and imaginary. Adjacent to the cloister is the Archaeological Museum, home to some remarkable ancient sculptures excavated in the Roman town.

The location is really close to the old Roman city/Remains of the ancient fortress (nothing exceptional but still hundreds of years ago). Sea is a 10-minute walk along the wonderful Boulevard de la Mer. The apartment is fully equipped and even has a folding chair for the pool. The electrical appliances are quiet (air conditioner, refrigerator, etc.), and the room's arrangement is practical. The WC is small, and it might be an issue for a tall or heavy visitor. Keep in mind (!!): The parking spaces are quite narrow. On top of that, I had an issue with a lady –old enough, I have to say– who had the right-hand side parking spot. She had an old, rusted, silver Peugeot 308 (she told me that she had had that "308" since her marriage!), and she was going in and out of the parking lot 2–3 times a day. She carelessly opened her doors while carrying groceries, etc., and scratched the back door of my car two days in a row. I don't care if the French don't pay attention to such issues. They have to respect tourists. Also, the accommodating company (HOSTNFLY) should issue her a severe warning. It is totally unacceptable from both sides.
