Our stay at Baymont Inn & Suites Freeport, IL on September 20, 2025, was a complete disaster. Our reserved suite had no running water, and the replacement room was in poor, unsanitary condition.
The General Manager, Candice, was consistently unprofessional and dishonest. Refunds promised were partially issued and then disappeared, and repeated requests for her supervisor’s contact were ignored. She repeatedly shifted blame to third-party booking platforms and renovations instead of taking responsibility.
This experience was stressful, costly, and completely mishandled. I cannot recommend this property under this management, and I hope corporate takes immediate action to prevent future guests from enduring the same treatment.
