When we made this reservation, we called to confirm that this was a dog friendly hotel. It was also written on their website that it was dog friendly. I was never told that if we brought a dog, we were not allowed to leave them in their kennel in the room. Even though I had clearly put on the reservation I was bringing 2 dogs nothing was said when I called and nothing said at check in. I was not given this information until Saturday. We were told we would be fined a $150 daily even if we were to go to dinner. I spent the first day of my vacation finding a kennel and sitting in my room for my birthday...not happy. Fortunately, I was able to find one and we dropped them off satuday evening and did enjoy the rest of our time at sanibal island. However, when I saw the charge from the hotel, it was significantly higher than I was supposed to pay through hotels.com. When I questioned this, they said they were going to charge for the dogs daily $50, so my bill would come to an extra $200 for the stay. I stated that they knew we had boarded the dogs and she said, well, you brought dogs you get charged for them. I did not find the front staff to be very helpful or friendly at all. We will never stay at this hotel again. however, the waitstaff in the breakfast area were wonderful, the cleaning staff did a great job except for the roach found in our room. Showers, hot but low pressure, bed comfortable had fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, everything worked room itself clean

Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is new, clean, bed comfortable, & employees very nice. Enjoyed biscuits and gravy every morning, but they have lots of other options including fruit. Coffee available at all times, big plus. Everything worked except the fridge, but that was resolved quickly by them replacing it with another. Would stay again if ever back in the area.
