The room was very nice. Room was clean and any requests for towels or anything were promptly handled. Water pressure in the shower was very low but not a deal breaker. We had a very nice 3 night stay. They allowed our dog as well.

This is a quirky little beachside motel with access to some beautiful trails on the Fort Bragg bluffs overlooking the ocean. There is a paved walking trail right in front of the motel that follows the coast and crosses the adjacent historical trestle bridge. Convenient driving access to the town for restaurants, the “glass” beaches, Skunk train, etc. The motel itself is a bit dated for the pricing. We had a couple/child in one room with two queens and grandma in another room with a king. The two-queen room was pretty cramped. Bathroom is very small and the sink is in the main room, which is very odd. Also only one sink for a two bed room and very limited counter space. The property is showing its age. Staff was friendly and the coastline there is stunning. If you have an ocean view room, the view is great - we were on the second floor and the view made everything else seem less of an issue. We had a handicap placard due to grandma and there were two handicap spots, but an old beat-up van was consistently parked in the “no parking” space next to a handicap spot, making it nearly impossible to back out. Apparently this is someone who works on the property - I asked on the second day if they could move that vehicle and they eventually did. It’s a decent place to stay for maybe a night or two but for longer you may want to shop around.

This setting in Fort Bragg is spectacular, offering beautiful views out of the rear (glass) doors and wonderful options for walking on the bluffs looking over the Pacific. The room itself was modest in size. Amenities were fine. The toilet was a bit contrary. The setting made up for any shortcomings.

Even though the property is old, it’s well kept. And the location is beautiful. My only complaint is the lack of privacy from the balcony. Anyone could just open our sliding door from their own balcony, hop the three foot wall, and come in our room. They can also see right into our room.

Can't beat the location -- wonderful, long walkway (perhaps part of a very long trail) paralleling the waterfront behind the dunes. Also a nice fenced dog play/relief area. Fire pits were well used. Everything else was good. (But suggestions for management: tone down the overbright lighting, both inside the rooms and on the property! And improve the facial tissue quality!)

My wife and I stayed here for our twentieth anniversary and it was amazing. The hotel staff had great suggestions for us. We ended up ordering dinner and using the private beach access to have dinner on the beach watching to sunset. The room was great. It had amazing views of the ocean amd it was amazing to listen to the waves all night. We enjoyed the stay so much we are already planning a trip next year to stay here again. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We have been using the Beachcomber for over 12 years on a yearly basis. It is still the place to go to for the view of the ocean, the nearby beach and access to Ft. Bragg overall. We accept it is aging and some of the benefits we saw before COVID are not available now. We will continue to use the motel for its location, but we will also check out the other nearby motels.

Everyone was so nice! We were able to bring our 2 dogs We had a back door that opened to the concrete path and dirt pathways to the cliffs and down to the beach it was beautiful! We will definitely be booking Beachcomber for our yearly Fort Bragg trips

I love this place. Been coming here occasionally, for years. A little old and out of date, but location on ocean bluffs is unbeatable, incredible view from rooms. Wonderful staff keeps place in good repair and clean, and is very friendly and helpful.
