A Truly Exceptional Stay at NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa From the moment we arrived, everything about this hotel exceeded expectations. The location could not be better. It's perfectly central and walkable to all the beautiful sights, shopping, and incredible restaurants in Florence. The staff were outstanding. From the front desk to the bellmen who handled our luggage, everyone was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. They called cabs whenever we needed, offered excellent local recommendations, and always greeted us with warmth. A special mention goes to Chiara at the front desk, who was the cherry on top. She was professional, welcoming, and simply excellent in every way. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully kept. The housekeeping staff maintained everything with care and attention to detail. The food was delicious, the music in the lobby set a wonderful atmosphere, and the overall cleanliness and elegance of the hotel made our stay unforgettable. We truly loved everything about this hotel. Gorgeous, well-run, and filled with a team that makes you feel cared for. I cannot wait to return to Florence and when I do, it will absolutely be to NH Collection Firenze Porta Rossa.

This hotel was nice and quaint in a good location. My problem was that no water bottles were provided in the room except for one glass bottle that we must refill down the hall when needed. For the price we paid per night, I did not feel this was appropriate.

Wonderful time in Florence!

Spent a wonderful week in Florence. We had a small glitch at the end of our stay, which was not any fault of the hotel. Due to Florence marathon on Sunday and the 24 rail strike, which started on Saturday night, we had to extend our stay. The staff did everything they could to help us with alternate travel plans.

Bed Bugs Meet Apathy: This was my 2d stay at NH Porta Rosa Hotel (10 night). The room I was in was infested with Bed Bugs. The bugs were feasting on me for days, but I first dismissed the marks as mosquito bites. It was not until I was consistently bitten in new places, including my face, that I asked the Hotel to recommend a dermatologist. Upon seeing the bites, the doctor asked if I was staying in a hostel, and explained that these were bed bug bites originating from where I was sleeping. I informed the hotel staff of the doctor’s diagnosis and that the source was the hotel’s room. Only after considerable debating and a full day of dealing with the staff, because the Manager never had time to speak to me himself, did they change my room and not charge me for that night’s stay. It took even more time explaining the several days of discomfort and interference with my vacation plans, as well as additional costs in medical and laundry bills, that they discount one additional night’s stay. Unfortunately, the Hotel staff did not seem to understand the difference between cleaning the room and exterminating the bugs from the room. I do not believe, after having several conversations with the staff, that they will take the proper steps to avoid another hotel guest from undergoing the same fate. To further note, I have travelled to Italy my entire life and am a fluent Italian speaker, I have never experienced this level of indifference and apathy in addressing a serious concern.

First time for us at NH Porta Rossa. I can tell you’ve will not stay anywhere else in the future and we have stayed some very nice hotels in that area. The hotel is as grand and historical as Florence itself The staff is so very willing to help you with anything you may need. My sister in law has a medical condition and she needed a special walker. They called numerous medical professionals and finally found one for us. The rooms are outstanding and the location is the best. 5 minute walk to the duomo , the ponte vechio , republica square , the uffizzi and so much more
