Perfect hotel if you want something away from the tourist mobs in a quiet, uncongested location. Room was lovely and spacious, delicious breakfast, congenial and helpful staff, lovely building with historical charm complete with a courtyard and small pool. Lots of fine restaurants close by, and you're just fifteen minutes walk to the city center. No complaints whatsoever!

We stayed at Hotel Horto Convento for three nights, and I must say the building with its Florentine charm took our breath away as soon as we walked in! Beyond the beautiful and character-filled architecture, the rooms were very well refurbished and spotless. The location is also excellent , within a 20 minute walk to most places, with plenty of authentic local dining options just around the corner. We enjoyed our stay so much that we even extended it for an extra night! If you’re planning a trip to Florence, this is a wonderful option for your accommodation.

Our two night stay at Horto Convento was very nice, from the friendly, helpful staff, to the comfortable bed, to the delicious breakfast. The property is located away from a busy street, in a lovely setting next to a church. If I had to note any issue at all, it would be the very narrow bathroom in our unit. There was a towel heater rack installed behind the door, so it could not be opened all the way, making it even more narrow. Not a big deal, just a design flaw. Overall, a very nice stay!

Terrible Experience – Do Not Recommend This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The pictures online are completely misleading—the reality is nothing like what’s advertised. The hotel was extremely noisy, and we were unable to sleep the entire night. On top of that, the staff was rude and completely unhelpful when we raised our concerns. We decided we didn’t want to stay, but the hotel refused to refund our money. Every negative review you’re reading is absolutely accurate—we wish we had taken them more seriously before booking. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. Save yourself the stress and disappointment.
