The staff were all very friendly! We especially connected with the incredible bartender, Adam. His knowledge of the city helped us to search out hidden gems for food and sight-seeing. The hotel is beautiful, cultural, and stands out as a gem in Florence, tucked away in a quiet area

Staff were super lovely, we were greeted by a very enthusiastic and full of character Giovanni who made us feel welcome. The place is very well kept, breakfast had a surprisingly wider variety of food for a continental breakfast, and is in a nice quiet part of Florence that is still accessible to the city centre. There are also some roaming cats around that became joyful to spot throughout our stay - thoroughly recommend this hotel!

The Horto Convento Hotel is truly a hidden gem in the Borgo San Frediano neighborhood located in a residential extremely safe neighborhood just on the other side of the Arno. From the moment we checked in the staff couldn’t be nicer. Cherish the desk manager was always accommodating friendly and professional. Breakfast was typical continental fare and perfect to start the day. Our room was small but extremely clean and perfect for our stay. Make sure you have a drink at the lobby bar. Adam the bartender will certainly become your new favorite bartender. A true gentleman and just a great guy. Be sure to ask him about the neighborhood restaurants where the “locals” eat for a great experience. The hotel is a short walk to everything you want to see and you will definitely get in your steps. Well worth it if you don’t mind walking. It’s really a great way to relax and take in this amazing City. Hotel is also a short cab ride from any where in city so no issue there. Highly recommend this hotel

An oasis of calm - it is not buzzy and over the top like many places in the tourist center. Instead, it is tranquil, in a good area within easy walking distance to most of what you want to see. We enjoyed our stay.

When we arrived the air conditioning was working after two days of being there the staff told us they turn off the air conditioning at this time of year. We were sweating at night so we opened the windows and woke up in the middle of the night with bugs biting us. We did not sleep at all. Otherwise the breakfast was good and the staff was nice

This hotel is a tucked away gem. In fact, it’s difficult to find at first. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the property is beautiful.the included breakfast was delicious, and Olga makes wonderful coffees and cappuccinos. They serve cocktails and apertivo later in the day, and Adam at the bar makes delicious cocktails and is so fun and interesting! It is a hike to get to be city center, but worth it. Also, there was quite a lot of noise at night (showers and toilets from the other rooms). I would stay here again.

Great staff and location, however the room was basic and on the first night we were attacked by over 20 mosquitos so we barely slept. The next few nights were fine but the rooms aren’t very soundproof so we could hear a lot going on outside the doors… despite that though, we still had a lovely time and the helpful and nice staff truly made it, and it has some great traditional restaurants right on its doorstep. We particularly loved Volte!

We loved the location of this hotel for 5 days in Florence; out of the city centre and so quiet and calm. We felt like the area nearby was much more appealing than the crush of the city centre. The staff and breakfast were exceptional and loved waking up to the church bells nearby. Highly recommend this place. We found it very walkable.
