Flights To Budapest\n

At the crossroads of Hungary you’ll find its capital: Budapest. Actually a conglomeration of the two cities Buda and Pest, this food, culture and bathhouse capital is full of Art Nouveau architecture and romance. Experience 19th-century history on the Danube or just hang with the locals. Either way, bring your bathers and an empty stomach, because you’ll need both.

Getting Around Budapest

Between the Metro, bus lines and taxis, it’s super-easy to get around after flights to Budapest. Want to slow down and take in the sights? Hop on the older, slower-moving yellow trams that are still in service. But if you really want to feel the wind in your hair, roll down the windows of one of our car hire options and put the pedal to the metal.

When You Land…

Do your Budapest flights arrive in the morning? Great! That means you’ll have all day to check out tons of museums, from the Holocaust Memorial Centre to the Marzipan Museum.

If you land in the afternoon, check out Elizabeth Lookout, the highest peak in the city, for a perfect sunset.

If you don’t touch down until after dark, then check out the famous Chain Bridge that joins the two halves of the city, all lit up and sparkly. Then head back to hotels in Budapest to recharge.

Live Like a Local

Budapest’s most popular attraction is the Royal Palace, and for good reason. It’s full of museums, gardens and courtyards where you can explore and relax. We insist you try some local fare, like pörkölt (what most people think of as goulash or Hungarian stew) and gulyás (which is actually more of a soup). Your taste buds will thank you.

Ready to soak in the culture (and the thermal baths) of Budapest? Check out Wotif’s cheap flights to Budapest today.

If you can’t get enough of Hungary’s capital, then why not add a trip to Germany’s unofficial southern capital, which is just over an hour’s flight east? Wotif’s Munich holidays will let you extend your trip in style.

"Had a lovely stay, central location, but no city noise at night, the air con in room was amazing during the heatwave. The rooftop pools were a great way to cool down after walking around the hot city. My only comment would be there was no hair conditioner to use in the bathroom. All staff were lovely ..."

"Breakfast offer was outrageously expense. If purchasing the breakfast package we had to purchase for entire stay. We were leaving very early on the lay day and didn’t have time for breakfast. At $40 euro per day and we didn’t have time, that’s ridiculous that you couldn’t make an exception. Your ..."
