The place is clean and roomy, stocked up with everything you need in great neighborhood next door to all year round activities. Would definitely rent again.
Great house for a large group with plenty of spaces to congregate, it really makes for a comfortable atmosphere for conversation after a long day of skiing.
We booked "Spleepy Hollow" with 4 families (a total of 16, 8 adults and 8 kids) for an amazing MLK weekend. The house is perfect for such a group, comfortable and cozy, ideal for kids that had a blast in the attic. Mariano has been very accomodating and provided many tips and advices for our weekend.

Weeping Willow
Our family stayed at Weeping Willow in the majestic Catskills of NY in November 2014. We are an extended family of 16 and enjoyed this charmingly restored Victorian home very much. The owner thought of every comfort possible to make our stay great and carefully communicated directions and other important information to us. We would stay here again.

Fantastic Victorian for a Large Group
Stayed here with our large, extended family for a ski getaway over the President's Day Weekend. One of the best ski houses we've ever rented. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for 3 families with kids. Well-equipped kitchen includes top-tier appliances, huge quantities of flatware, plates, and glasses, and chef-quality cooking tools. Best of all, the owner is extremely helpful and easy to work with.

Wonderful, comfortable place --a real home
Just returned from a family (10 people) and 1 dog weekend. The kids were learning snowboarding, the adults went skiing and some went shopping. Everything is so close it was easy to find something to do for everyone. The home is very comfortable, cozy & warm. It has all the amenities you need or could want. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen was great -- we cooked some awesome meals. It was the best place to be for super bowl weekend !

The house was double booked!
When we arrived at the house, people were already moved in and were there. I called the owner, who was immediately available, who told me he listakenly double booked. He then offered to pay for another place, which we were extremely lucky to find last minute, as we booked the house months ago for a music festival. He felt terrible and was very nice, but need to leave a review so this doesn’t happen to anyone else! It was a near disaster.

Spacious Victorian!
First, I would like to state that the owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to any requests. Our group arrived incrementally for the weekend of ski racing at Belleayre Mountain. This home accommodated our large party easily with enough beds and bathrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked and afforded the luxury of staying in and cooking both evenings. For the kids, there were games, videos and of course, the large third floor sleeping area. A great place for larger groups!!!

My family stayed at this ...
My family stayed at this wonderful home for 4TH of July weekend 2009. There was a total of 20 of us and there was absolutely no issues with space. The house speaks for itself as you can see by the pictures. The BBQ deck, kitchen, attic and back yard is amazing. Another great aspect of the house is its location. Nice park directly across the street; public pool is about 2-blocks away; nice swimming hole across the street through the park. Water tubing and a cool scenic train ride is nearby as well. This house will not disappoint. Great getaway weekend...we are already reserved for 4TH of July 2010.

Awesome House! Always an impressive visit!
We have rented this house for our annual ski trip for the past several years. The house is so cute, cozy and stocked with everything you need! The Viking kitchen is amazing and there is literally every appliance, small appliance, utensils, pots/pans you can think of. It is a true gourmet kitchen and we easily created larges feasts for the group. The rooms are very comfortable with down comforters and pillows, quilts and also towels. There is a tv room you can relax in, a dining room were you can share a meal or just hang out, and a sitting room with a fire place. The house is conveniently located to the grocery store, liquor store and Belleayre Mountain. Our group truly loves staying here. We will be back!

Wonderful house for large groups
It is going to be our 3rd consecutive year coming back to this house. We love it! Has plenty room for 22 people or even more, including fun open sleeping area for up to 6 kids in the attic. The kitchen rocks-it has more stuff and gadgets than my own. Nice dining table, two refrigerators, big living space. The house is old, but very nice and clean. Just a suggestion to the owner -please add some hooks or shelves in the bathroom off the crib bedroom. There us no place to hang towels.

Comfortable and wonderful
I've stayed in this house a few times now, and it's always such a pleasure. It's big enough that everyone has plenty of space, but cozy enough that it feels super comfortable. It's especially great for my group of friends: some of us have young kids and some of us prefer to stay up late and sleep in, and this place accommodates both because the bedrooms are all upstairs and it stays so quiet. The kitchen is great for making big meals (there are all sorts of cooking tools/pots/pans, etc.) and the outdoor deck is perfect for a fire and s'mores. Comfortable beds, too, which I think is rare in country homes upstate, and everything was remarkably clean upon our arrival. The town of Fleischmann's itself is nothing too exciting, but there's a nearby grocery store with all the essentials and a bigger, nicer supermarket nearby that has everything you'd want.
Weeping Willow was a great ski weekend getaway location for eight adults and six kids (all family). There were plenty of rooms and beds for everyone to sleep comfortably, and lots of bathrooms/showers. Our bed was very comfortable and the kids loved sharing the attic space and scaring everyone by using the “secret staircase”. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals and the big table in the dining room was perfect for us to all eat together. The house is literally six minutes from the slopes and we ordered food from the pizza place right around the corner on Saturday night. The area was very nice for walking in the afternoon since my parents did not ski. It couldn’t have been more convenient for us!

Relaxing family getaway!
The Weeping Willow Getaway is the perfect place to have a relaxing and/or adventurous time away from home with family or friends. This home is clean and comfortable and extremely well equipped! Our son has some food allergies so we tend to cook all of our meals and I can't say how perfect the kitchen is! The Viking stove and selection of top notch pots/pans made our stay perfect! The beds were comfy and they had plenty of pillows and clean towels waiting for us. There is an open field across the street, perfect for kids to work off some energy and a beautiful stream just beyond the field. It kept our kids entertained for hours! There is also a great assortment of movies and video games for rainy days inside. Can't say enough about this beautiful, well equipped and impeccably maintained home, we'll definitely be visiting again soon!

Our Second Stay
I booked the Weeping Willow for a second time for our yearly Belleayre Ski trip. There is plenty of room to spread out for many families to share. We have several teen boys and the attic space is perfect for them. The house is a good value and has all the pots, pans etc that you need to cook all meals in house. This is convenient as there are no restaurants within winter walking distance or that can properly accommodate a large crowd. This is fine for us because we would all rather pitch in and cook together and have a good drink and not have to drive anywhere after skiing. It is so much better to just hang out with good friends and good wine! We were also able to bring our dogs and that was a nice plus. The Owner is very easy to get in touch with and we plan to rent it again next year.

Family Comfort & Skiing Getaway
Our family has stayed with the owner's family since they first purchased Weeping Willow in 2007. Our family has also rented this wonderful home during three seasons of the year. Although we are a skiing family, we also enjoy the calmness of the summer and the brilliant colors of the fall.
We have witness the improvements to Weeping Willow over the years, such as the finished attic with two extra bedrooms and new bathroom, the rear spiral staircase leading to the large deck, the three HDTVs, and the comfortable leather sofas in the family room.
Now that our kids have grown up, they rent out Weeping Willow with their own family and friends. There are so many wonderful memories that we will continue to consider Weeping Willow our family retreat for years to come. We recommend Weeping Willow for all age groups.

Beautiful and well cared-for home!!
When walking into a rental property I think you can tell the difference if the home is well cared for and feels like home or not. When I first walked into The Weeping Willow, I really felt at home and the detailed care of the property. The house was clean, plenty of sheets and towels, and Mariano was very responsive and answered all of my questions. I particularly loved the kitchen and the outdoor grill and...the bathrooms! Each room has beautiful curtains which adds to the Victorian feel. To be honest, the pictures don't even do it justice compared to when there in-person!
Right in front of the house there is a sports field and playground, which was perfect for a group. Also, the house is much larger when inside. The neighborhood is very nice, and nearby there were a lot of trails. The house definitely exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this home.

Needs Updating and Railings Secured.
The entryway was filled w shoes. Other evidence that someone lives there. (Usually personal items are tucked away.). Funky smell - older home. Cleaning supplies out?! Coffee maker was growing something disgusting in its basket. Clean for the most part, but worn couches and dining room chairs. The back yard was a mess, Too cold to use, fortunately. Old food supplies I the refrigerator and cabinets. ?! A broken window was on the roof.
Positives - a large space that accommodated our family. (Sleeps 22 +/-). The bedrooms were pretty good; the sheets were clean. Plenty of bathrooms, though all were a little funky. The nicest bathroom is in the basement with spiders, and not finished. The dining table accommodated our large group, as did the kitchen, for the most part.
Our group, ranging from 4 to 65 years old, stayed at this property for two nights.
IMHO, this property may not suit everyone unless you pay attention to finer details.
Pros:
1) Mariano is a great host, providing clear instructions and stocked amenities. Very responsive.
2) Property accommodates large groups with plenty of beds, spacious bathrooms, and a large patio.
3) Propane gas cylinder and grill provided by the owner.
4) Excellent neighborhood with local attractions and a peaceful environment.
Cons:
1) Property is old, requiring attention to details.
2) Struggled with air conditioning setup; central AC not working, relied on window units. Mariano, who was super responsive and patiently walked us through every single process, (including getting into the basement and resetting the panel), finally getting most of the units to work.
3) Cleanliness issues with cobwebs and a stinky patio from uncleared trash.
4) Malfunctioning items like cooking range hood, noisy dining room fan, and bathroom faucet leak.
5) Accessibility challenges for individuals with mobility issues and small children reaching the attic via narrow stairs.
Overall, ensure the property meets your requirements and address any issues promptly

PERFECT AUTUMNAL CATSKILLS WEEKEND
This is not my first time staying at Weeping Willow Getaway. In fact, my family comes 2-3 times per year because it is such a wonderful home, complete with all the creature comforts of our own homes. It also fits SO MANY PEOPLE it cannot be beat in this region. Period. I could wax on and on about little details that the owner Mariano has taken care to ensure: the 100% Egyptian Cotton towels, the exquisite, airy comforters for every bed, the informal and formal plates he offers... but this review is to describe the BEST AUTUMNAL CATSKILLS WEEKEND.
October 8-9, 2016 was the "Taste of the Catskills" fair in Delhi, NY. About a half hour's drive from Fleischmanns, it passes through the hamlet of Andes (lovely, quaint) and through Delhi town center, it's own adorable and classic Catskills town. For a $10 per adult entrance fee (*kids <5 free), it showcased 15+ food vendors from the region, offered dozens of arts and crafts workshops, toys and games for children, including a small hay maze complete with flashlights and headlamps, bounce houses galore (small extra fee), free lawn games (corn hole, giant Jenga, giant Yahtzee, hula hoops, etc.) all in the splendor of the gorgeous leaves of the Catskill Mountain Region. The Farm Olympics were the BEST-- we laughed our butts off and have memories for a lifetime!
Second only to the fun we had, was knowing that we could come "home" to Weeping Willow Getaway and lounge on the back porch by the firepit with a glass of wine and grill on the state of the art smoker/barbecue grill (charcoal OR gas--your choice!). My family loves this house so much we have begun to think of it as our own. Thanks to Mariano and his family for keeping it updated, clean, and always ready for our return!

Rest for your soul!!!
I was invited, as well as a few other families, by the owners of Weeping Willow, to spend a weekend getaway in the mountain during the month of Oct. We arrived late at night and the house had great curb appeal since it was all lit up.
As we entered we were greeted by a wonderful aroma of something cooking in the kitchen. Our host welcomed us in and escorted us up to our rooms. We were then invited down stairs were we were offered a bowl of soup, imported cheeses, olives, and crackers to enjoy in the raised granite counter top in the kitchen.
As we passed through the rooms the house unfolded into a warm welcoming home. The kitchen was spectacular with a built-in butler pantry, stainless steel appliances and plenty of granite table top space, there is a large family room with comfortable leather sofas and blankets, that was all that I needed to assure me that I was going to enjoy my weekend getaway. We watched a few movies on the large HDTV as other guest arrived. Our host was very attentive, responsive to every need, including an extra portion of soup.
In the morning, I was awakened to the smell of fresh brewed coffee. As I made my way down stairs to the kitchen I could smell the bacon and I could see all the folks that had arrived the night before helping out with the breakfast preparation. All hands were on deck and the kitchen was not over crowed.
It was a beautiful fall day and as you stepped out onto the front porch you were drawn to the view of the mountains and the colorful fall foliage confirming the beginning of a new season, it was breathtaking.
We spent our time eating, watching TV, playing board games, eating some more and resting our souls. I could not have a better weekend with such nice people in such a comfortable home.
If you are looking for rest and relaxation you will find it at Weeping Willow, I recommend it for all age groups.
Sylvia from Montclair, NJ
Weeping Willow did a wonderful job of accommodating our large family for our family reunion. Although several families stayed in nearby rentals, we all gathered at this house multiple times. I never got tired of looking at the details of the wood work throughout the home. I'm glad it is kept intact and not painted over. We all really enjoyed the beautiful art work throughout the home. It is actually rare to see art that lifts up diverse cultures and makes guests of various ethnicities feel valued and welcome - thanks to Mariano for that! We were also glad to have an emphasis on recycling - that is another thing that is rare in rentals. The beds were all comfortable with super nice linens. The kitchen is beautiful and so well appointed! The family room is so comfortable and spacious. Several people stayed in that room. There were lots of sleeping options throughout the house. Some of the rooms were hard to cool off, but with the help of open windows and plenty of fans we did fine. It sounds like an air conditioning person is scheduled to come and do some tweaking. The favorite spot was the front porch - we spent lots of time gathering there.
We loved that the house feels lived-in and and loved - not fussy like some period homes. It was so nice that one of our family groups who were staying at another rental could bring their little dog into this home.
Some of our group ate at the new Greek restaurant in Fleishmann and gave it good reviews. We loved having brunch on check-out day at the Cafe Margarite in Margaretville, - and would recommend it. We also enjoyed the Art Guild, the Thrift store and Fresh Town grocery. The recreation center is wonderful!
Views were great and we did a variety of hikes. Some of us especially enjoyed walking around the neighborhood looking at amazing homes in various stages of repair.
Thanks for welcoming us there, and being easy to communicate with Mariano!
A large and well-furnished kitchen, roomy dining room, and spacious and comfortable parlor and family room made for a fun and relaxing Thanksgiving time.
