Flåm accommodation from AU$184

We stayed one night and found this a comfortable hotel in a wonderful location. We had spent the day in Flåm, and arriving in Aurland was a welcome relief: a quieter, more settled town with a far more relaxed feel. Check in was straightforward at what is a small hotel sitting just off the road. Dinner was served in the hotel restaurant and was of excellent quality, which matters in a place where options are few. My only real criticism concerns our room, which was right at the top of the hotel. The lift only goes as far as the first floor, so the last stretch is on foot, and the headroom under the roof felt tighter than in other rooms. It did, though, have a superb view over the fjord. On balance we were happy with it, with the caveat that it was sold as a deluxe room and did not quite feel like one. The hotel has limited facilities beyond the restaurant, so do not expect a spa or gym. Even so, I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality, comfortable stay in a beautiful setting, away from the crowds of Flåm.

Perfect location. You really should stay in Flam for the train/ship tours. The Viking restaurant was excellent. The other one with the hotel was OK. Breakfast was the only disappointment. Cold eggs & waffles. But there was enough of a selection to get around this.

Location and view, can't beat this. Also very nice options for lunch/dinner. Overall EXCELLENT !!
