Beautiful spot and very helpful host. We were traveling a long way with a big group and arrived late so we did not have much time to do more than sleep, but the host was incredibly helpful and responsive and flexible to our needs and questions. We were sorry to not have more time to stay to explore and enjoy the property!

The pictures truly do not do this place justice. The cottages are quaint, charming, and very well maintained. Everything was spotless upon arrival, and while the accommodations are simple, they are equipped with all the old-school basics needed for a comfortable stay. We stayed here as a family of four with two teenagers and had plenty of space. The setting is absolutely stunning, with beautiful waterfront and mountain views that create a peaceful and uniquely Icelandic atmosphere. One of the highlights was the hot tub located in the center of the property—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We also appreciated having access to a washer and dryer on-site, which was very convenient during our trip around Iceland. The property also offers a buffet breakfast and dinner option, although we chose to eat in town during our stay. Overall, this was a comfortable, scenic, and memorable place to stay, and we would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended for families looking for a peaceful Icelandic getaway.
