Prior Booking:
Booked Hotel Meri All Inclusive via Expedia for September 6–14, 2025. Confirmed by phone with the hotel that a third guest (my disabled cousin) could be added with an extra fee on arrival.
September 6 – Arrival Day:
Arrived ~5–6 PM. Hotel staff denied knowledge of the added guest, causing stress and neglect, especially as my cousin is disabled. Found severe mold in bathroom and non-functioning A/C (room above 30°C, unsafe and inhabitable). No management present. Reported A/C—technician failed to fix it. Tried contacting management via phone/WhatsApp, no reply. Contacted Expedia to report and request resolution. Forced to stay in hotel lounge due to uninhabitable room.
September 6 – Midnight:
Finally moved to another room, which was infested with bed bugs (we were bitten) and still moldy and dirty.
September 7 – Ongoing:
Conditions remained uninhabitable. Still no effective support from hotel management. Continued communication with Expedia seeking a full refund. Holiday ruined, causing major stress to me and my cousins, especially my disabled cousin.
Other Notes:
• Expedia contact number for hotel was incorrect.
• Hotel advertising was misleading.
• Strongly recommend this listing be removed to protect future guests.
This was a devastating experience. I am exhausted and praying Expedia will issue a full refund.
