Witness to a prestigious past reflecting the architectural tradition of Morocco, Riad Amor is part of a complex of palaces and mansions that belonged to the family El Mokri, a native of Tlemcen illustrious line that has had close and privileged relations with the sultans of Morocco since The Marinid dynasty.

Built for over century by one of the last viziers for one of his daughters in a pure Moorish tradition, Riad Amor is a perfect example of architecture with Andalusian splendor refinement and Moroccan art.

Loving its beauty and refinement, Mounia Amor, granddaughter of the Grand Vizier El Mokri bought it and renovated the riad while retaining its charm and original character.

Besides the furniture and artwork lovingly unearthed for reviving the riad, you can admire the amazing work of wood, stucco, zelliges, rich mosaic coverings and carved ceilings and executed by master-workers using ancestral techniques. Located in a typical alley of the medina of Fez, where you can enjoy the peace and serenity, wealth and the bustling souks, the charm and picturesque medina and the scent of spices ...
