Unlike many Northwoods lakes, Lake La Fave features a clean sandy bottom and gradual shoreline that’s ideal for swimming, floating, paddling, and relaxing. Because there is no public boat launch, you’ll enjoy a peaceful setting with fewer boats and abundant wildlife. Evenings are unforgettable as the sun sets over the water and loons call across the quiet lake.

Spend your mornings enjoying coffee by the lake, your afternoons swimming or exploring by kayak, and your evenings gathered around the campfire beneath the stars.

The lake was great and we really enjoyed the Kayaks, great communication, little nooks and crannies throughout the cabin, large kitchen to gather, cook, and play games. The shower rarely worked for us and we were unable to get a stream of steady warm water during any given shower. We did know the water pressure was going to vary, but didn’t know it would turn off for a few minutes after about 2 minutes of water-so that was a bummer for 8 of us trying to shower in one day. Otherwise fairly clean, good location, and nice stay.

Hi, busy families are going to love this stay. There are so many spaces for so many activities and opportunities to enjoy alone time, too. My grandson and I had a wonderful time riding the paddle boat through the beautiful sandy shallows looking for fish and chasing the loon family. We swam in the shallows off the dock playing catch and sat in the sun on the deck with the sun umbrella to shade us. This cabin has hideaway cubbies for sharing secrets, bunk beds with lights for late night reading, large kitchen for gathering at mealtimes, large games table for puzzles, and comfy living room furniture fronting large windows with a view to the lake. Don't forget the separate get-away gazebo for visiting into the night next to a bonfire. Everything was so clean and inviting as well. Surely everyone will feel special at this little piece of heaven.
