The hotel is well placed in the centre of town- staff were friendly and helpful- but compared to other hotels in range, this one is tired and quite basic, the lifts open up to cleaning equipment and have a damp smell- the rooms are clean and bed very comfortable, but need an update on the decor

Great, helpful staff, good sized rooms and good wifi. The building's a bit dating, and undergoing some much needed renovation. A perfectly good place to stay off E6 and in the small town of Fauske. Only had one issue with my stay and found mgmt very quick to address it, so highly impressed.

"Scam-dic" not Scandic

The hotel is being remodeled and I would consider the construction zone as "bombed out." There are no signs indicating where the zone begins and ends and guests are free to roam about the power tools as they see fit. The "breakfast" was terrible--not a buffet or anything close. It was a sandwich from a bakery. There were holes in the walls of our room with bare wires. The carpets were a bit sweaty and musty. The desk clerk gave us no instructions on parking and wifi until we came down and specifically asked for it.

Small and outdated rooms but free gym nearby

Stayed two nights. The room was small and needs some renovation. But one should perhaps not espect too much of such hotel in the middle of Norway... What I was really happy about was that the hotel have a colab with a good fitness gym, about 1 km from the hotel. Free of charge!
