Upon stepping into the courtyard, guests will find a lovely garden area with exotic plants and lovely bluish/purple lighting which illuminates the patio area during the evening. Stepping into the apartment, guests will find a spacious and bright entryway with a full bath wet-room and a short hallway leading to the master bedroom. - The very large ensuite master bedroom offers a generous view of the harbour as well as the Maritime Museum. This room provides a super-king bed and a modern oak wardrobe and dresser, and a door accessing the balcony overlooking Events Square. Directly across from the master bedroom is another large bedroom which is often brilliantly lit with sunlight and contains a king-size bed and offers two door access to the balcony overlooking Events Square and the Maritime Museum. - Simply step out on the balcony and be part of the excitement whilst sitting on the deck chairs for a morning coffee. Both rooms provide clean and comfortable cream coloured carpeting, and the crisp and clean décor continues throughout Halyard Sound. From the lower floor is an oak stairwell with a glass balustrade leading to the open plan kitchen and sitting area as well as a hallway leading to a toilet and handbasin. This area has a 15 foot high ceiling with an apex window design which is also 15 feet in height. All this comes together providing a wonderful transition to the upper balcony overlooking the stunning views of the harbour as well as Events Square, unwind after a days exploration visiting some of the over 100 Cafes and restaurants whilst sitting on the teak park bench enjoying a drink! The Neighborhood: Halyard Sound (located at Maritime House) is in the prestigious and luxurious waterside development of Discovery Quay (also known as “Events Square”). This maritime area is built on land reclaimed from the sea in the 1980s. There, the water’s edge originally reached as far as the high street road and within 15 meters of the Killigrew Monument.
Events Square is one of Falmouth’s most important community spaces which hosts a wide variety of festivals and events such as the Oyster Festival; Falmouth Week; the Sea Shanty festival, and regular markets. All this can be privately enjoyed from the balconies of Halyard Sound.. Also adjacent to Events Square is the slipway at Grove Place. Here you can embark on all sorts of water activities such as dinghy sailing; sport rowing; kayaking, or even be retrieved by a friend with a boat. The waters in the area also offer some of the best scuba diving in the UK. As for beaches and nature walks, as well as community garden and parks- Falmouth offers some of the best in Cornwall with the famous Gyllyngvase Beach only a walking distance away.
Getting Around: There are always taxis and buses available as well as ferries and water-taxis as Falmouth is very much a year-round town. There are boats for hire as well as scenic trip ferries to places such as the picturesque villages Flushing and St. Mawes and beyond.
