Great place, but the pool was unusable.

Great staff. Nice, clean, comfortable room. Awesome amenities. Excellent location to stay at while visiting Discovery Kingdom. Only negative during our stay was discovering that the pool was unusable due to the heater not working. (That was the main reason we chose to stay at this hotel.)

None of the employees seemed to want to be there. The lobby was big and very uncomfortable because of the poor lighting. When the bistro staff was not 30 minutes late in the morning they never interacted with the guests. Not a place I would stay at again.

I checked into my room, which had two queen-sized beds. When I used the restroom, I discovered that the toilet was completely clogged. I called the front desk using the phone provided in the room, but as soon as I explained the issue, the front desk agent hung up on me. To address the situation in person, I took the elevator from the fourth floor down to the lobby. I remained reasonable and simply asked whether they could send someone to fix it or switch me to a different room, as I had just checked in a few hours ago. To my surprise, the staff member responded rudely, went to the janitor’s closet, grabbed a plunger, handed it to me, and said, “fix it yourself.” This was the first time I had ever been told to handle my own plumbing at a hotel! For the record, I didn’t clog the toilet as i I had just arrived.
