Gorgeous property. Backs up to mountains and a waterfall. This was the most comfortable bed during our trip. We spent some time in the hot tub which was outdoors and felt glorious. The food was not as good as other reviewers described and we were disappointed with. Overall though it was a wonderful stay and we would stay again.

Property was beautiful. There is a picturesque waterfall just behind the building. Had some hiking trails there as well. Room was clean and modern and nicely furnished. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. We had dinner there one night and the food was fabulous. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The property was convenient for our trip to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon as well.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly. However, I do not recommend staying on floor 0 (I was in room 031). I felt like I was on the staff floor of the Titanic! I was in the hallway with staff doors, and on the floor with the sauna. The rooms are most definitely NOT sound proof. At all. And the doors—at least on floor 0–slam. Very very loudly. Which I could hear. Frequently. So I stuck in my headphones and called it an early night! The food there IS amazing and the hotel is beautiful. The hike to the waterfall near the hotel is very technical, so I had a beautiful waterfall all to myself! It was amazing. Just do not stay on floor 0.
