Good overnight stay.

We received a very friendly welcome. The ground floor room was spacious & had a large shower room & separate lavatory. The white bedding & towels were clean & good quality. The hotel has plenty of parking outside & we parked under the window of our room. There was a quiet fan which we used as it was a hot night. It was a short drive into the city of Chalon en Champagne where there was plenty of parking. The room carpet could have benefited from a clean & the hallway to the bedrooms was dark & not inviting but the room was bright with a large window.

Comfortable and convenient.

Comfortable stay. Easy to get to. It was comforting to be able to put my car in a garage overnight for a small additional charge. Receptionist was very polite and helpful. I have already suggested this hotel to a friend as a stop en route to south France.

Hotel has been modernised. Rooms are comfortable. Warm and helpful welcome. Location is easily accessed but not very interesting. Short drive into old town where we found many interesting things to see and good restaurants. Adequate parking.

What an amazing hostess

The owner was so helpful, explaining everything in detail, including the local area and best places to go. She even took us to the room to explain the shower etc. The room even had a kettle, really good for France!

Excellent stopover

Very helpful and attentive manager, good sized room and large breakfast buffet. Both us and our dog were made to feel very welcome. The hotel is conveniently located near the motorway, with fields at the end of the road 5 mins away to take the dog for a good walk. The main town squares where the majority of restaurants and bars are located is a 30 min walk or 5 min drive away.

Stopover on way from Calais to Switzerland.

A useful stopping off venue, close to the A26 autoroute and 3-4 hours from Calais. Hotel Bristol had been modernised considerably since we passed through Chalons (about 20 years ago) and the breakfast buffet had improved beyond recognition !
