Stayed 3 nights. Refused entry to resturant first night in a very rude and abrupt fashion. ‘It’s full’ there were 5 people eating!!! Out of principal. would never choose to eat the in Pulse resturant. Went to local pubs in Topsham and Woodbury. Treated respectfully, menu choice much better etc. Room okay though heating / cooling didn't work. Room very hot 33C as agreed by room service staff. Reception staff and room staff great.

Parking was fine, but not well sign posted the actual hotel. So it took a bit of time trying to find the right building. Which only says hotel in small letters. But everything else in big letters. The reception was not the most welcoming.there phone for the reception or room service didn’t work. Even when I rang directly using my mobile phone they didn’t bother answering. Only one chef on at their restaurant. Wasn’t even that busy. But still took a while. Plus they didn’t have everything instock for meals and breakfast as well, wasn’t a full breakfast because they hadn’t had their delivery. Room was clean but not well stocked. With hot drinks. And they didn’t have any menus for their restaurant or drinks menus. Which if you want people to eat at your place you would make the effort to do. I have stayed in cheap hotels and had much better experiences. But thought this is a birthday present for my wife who has been very unwell. And I would stay somewhere a bit more nicer sounding. But was left disappointed.

Spacious, comfortable room. Excellent shower, very clean and a nice , firm bed. bed. Very impressed with all of the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. On the downside the rooms are very dated, carpets and need decorating, plus really tatty net curtains and falling off one window. The main areas were okay, but bedroom was disappointing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Woodbury Park Hotel. The room was quiet and we had a balcony overlooking the golf course. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The room was well maintained and comfortable. The food was excellent too.

On the plus side; Beds & Linens Bathroom & Shower Setting Pool & Spa all fantastic. I found the restaurant logistics somewhat odd though having to reserve a table even though it was empty and then having the bill brought to my table with card machine and asked to pay before the food had even arrived. Food was good though. The clubhouse food also good but menu there is quite limited. Overall great value for money albeit the decor could do with a spruce up as looking a little tired in lots of places.

Everything was lovely apart from the food. Breakfast was just ok, not enough fruit and having to fetch everything to your table was annoying. I had one evening meal (chicken breast on flatbread) and it was poor - chewy chicken and very hard flatbread. On the plus side my room was comfortable and warm with a lovely view.
