Good size bedroom with good amenities. However, no air con and some rooms very warm with restricted ventilation. Food and drink are at normal prices and grounds very nice for short walk. All staff pleasant and helpful but obvious a lot of new staff with limited information.

Obviously the hotel is undergoing massive renovations and I’m sure it will be incredible when finished- but be aware right now that your view in the summer of 2026 might be of a building site and the bathrooms for the pool are like portapotties and very substandard. That being said, the hotel itself is gorgeous. We stayed in a lodge that was fantastic and far exceeded our expectations. Extremely comfortable and spacious with two bedrooms upstairs and ensuites. The grounds, particularly the Forest Walk, are lovely. Kids loved the play park! The pool is big and the outdoor hot tub is tiny but nice…missed not having a sauna/steam (assume after renovations they’ll be there). All in all, recommended - after renovations are complete it will be spectacular.

We had a lovely stay, the bedrooms were spotless and spacious. The food was great! We only had one small issue and that being the spa, we couldn't believe it was €35 for 2 hours in the spa, whats usually complimentary at other hotels and estates we felt slightly let down. What made up for it was a lovely thermal village. It's taught us to look into spas more when we do go away.
