Came into the room to patch the bathroom without letting us know. Huge spotlight shines in the room if you’re facing the front top south side. Electric plugs in lamps didn’t work nor the phone. Couldn’t call front desk. Food sucked.

Run Down

I was very misled by the high ratings on Hotels.com. While our beds were comfortable and the room seemed clean, that is the best I can say for our stay. The whole building is very run down. Every complaint that we made to the desk was answered with something like, "yeah, we know," or "let me guess, it's broken?"-- as though they're accustomed to both the complaints and the brokenness of everything in the hotel. The elevator wasn't working, which was due to a clogged pipe that leaked into the elevator shaft apparently? So our hallway was filled with the toxic fumes of chlorine as they attempted to unclog whatever pipe. No windows were opened and the hallway air burned to breathe. The A/C in our hallway also didn't seem to work. There is one ice machine for the whole hotel, located near the lobby (remember, no working elevator), and it had no ice. But the machine was leaking and the floor beneath it looks rotten from water damage. I was told at check-in that there was laundry available on every floor. Came to find out that the laundry machines were out of order on 2 of the 4 floors, though they were not labeled "Out of Order" so I lost laundry detergent to a broken machine. I also saw guests waiting for the broken elevator; I mentioned it was broken and they said the lobby attendant, a few feet away, never mentioned it. Another couple told me they stood there ten minutes before she mentioned it. This was the least relaxing place we have stayed on a very long road trip.

Clean room; Safety concerns

The room had been cleaned by Rosa, according to a note in the room. Kudos to Rosa! The room was neat and clean. It was also renovated. The hotel was quiet, even though it was near a highway. There was a note on the back door to the hotel, that it was not to be opened, because the wind would cause it to break. Someone had propped the emergency exit door open, since the regular back door was not functional. I closed the emergency door when we entered, as leaving it open allows anyone to wander into the building, and to me, is a safety concern. The stairwells needed cleaning, as grass and trash had blown in from the door that had been left propped open. Food had been spilled on the stairs and not not been properly cleaned. When we took luggage down to the car the next morning, the emergency door had been propped open again. The breakfast area was out of spoons, and the attendant was unable to find more when asked for them by patrons. There were a lot of flies in the breakfast area. Perhaps they entered through the back emergency exit that stays propped open. When coming through this area in the future, we will look for alternate accommodations.

Desk area was fair. When we went upstairs, the elevator was not that clean and seem like it struggled to work. A couple of floors it stopped at was not clean. My floor, it was not too pleasant either. I was too tired to go anywhere else. It is a pet friendly location but not clean.

A Great Vibe to the Sleep Inn

This was a nice place. We would definitely return. We liked the cleanliness and the pool. We liked the continental breakfast and the staff. Parking was easy. It checked lots of boxes for us!

I was impressed by the bathroom! It had four grab bars for around the tub. I've never seen that in a hotel room before. The room was clean, up to date. Slept very well here.

The hotel was great, the service provided by hotel.com on the other hand was horrible and I will never book another trip through them. I booked a trip selected pay at property with option of full refund within a certain time frame. This unfortunately was not the case on either account. Was told that it was the hotel even though I had already spoke with the hotel directly and they had no issues of partial refund or correcting the dates of my trip but since it was booked third party they were unable to make the changes on there end and issue refund for the days that would not be used.

Do not stay here if you want to feel safe and have a clean room and facilities. I went yo my reserved room only to find that it had not been cleaned at all. They “upgraded” me to a “suite” that had a jucuzzi tub. It was FAR from an upgrade, but the bed was clean, so I stayed. I left as soon as I could the next day. There were VERY sketchy people staying there. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for.
