I flew from USA to spend a vacation time with my wife and my 15 months old daughter at Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna and when I came to the hotel, the standard of the room provided doesn't meet any 5-star hotel expectations at all. The room is very poorly furnished. The furniture is very old and rotten. It's not clean. It doesn't have any soap or kits at the restroom vanity. The vanity is only single sink with poor broken wooden base. The AC is not properly working as it freezes you up with its massive cold air no matter how low or high you adjust it. It just blows high flow of air even when you put it in a low with a rattling sound all night. The sheets are not clean, the carpet is horrible and dirty with stains which is not appropriate to let my baby crawl on. The heater is not working. the quality of the room doesn't meet any inhabitable hotel standard. I had to call Expedia and cancel the stay on the spot to move to another hotel the next morning. I would not even spend the night in such a place but everywhere else was fully booked so i had to sacrifice this night till sunrise to move out. Not recommended at all.
