Room 214 had loud mechanical/whirring noises coming out or aircon vent all night. Very patchy sleep. Recordings taken & being submitted with formal complaint. Staff need to acknowledge there's an issue & fix it. Not good enough for hefty price being charged.

Excellent breakfast options, cooked fresh. Lots Gluten free. Friendly and helpful staff throughout from cleaning, reception bar breakfast and management on hand. Rooms lovely cozy and quirky, well stocked clean and comfy. Nice bar for a quiet drink. Fantastic decoration. Location great to reach all parts, 10 minute walk to station. Will definitely be back. Room was clean and the lobby and dining area were nice. We were on the top floor, 4th and they had slanted ceilings that were cracking other than that it was good. Just the slopping ceilings made the room smaller. Overall it was a good stay. Close enough to everything without as expensive of prices.

Clean , well presented hotel in a great location for visits to The Edinburgh Playhouse and the St James Quarter Shopping Centre. Fabulous breakfast and friendly, polite staff. Lovely touches in our room (premium king) included a fridge containing soft drinks, bottles of water and biscuits. My husband even received a birthday card and a whisky minature to mark his 60th birthday. Just lovely! We would definitely return.

Front desk staff were very helpful and kind. Only flaw was the property manager that came to look at our tv (that didn’t work properly also it says it has Netflix on it however it does not) he was quite rude, dismissive and short with us when I asked about the tv. Breakfast staff were very kind and helpful there was lots of options for everyone. I wouldn’t hesitant to return to this hotel however the manager we dealt with could use an attitude adjustment

We had a lovely stay, the bed was very comfy and the contents of the fridge were free and replaced daily (including Irn Bru and caramel wafers). The location is excellent, walking distance from all the main sites and right by a shopping centre. Our one complaint is the tv wasn't a smart tv so if you need to catch up on the latest episode of the traitors, you're in trouble!
