2 Mins Walk from Edinburgh's Best Beach!

Whole property - 140sqm

This is a wonderful, spacious, traditional seaside townhouse, built at a time when wealthy Edinburgh families also bought a house by the sea in order to cool off on those hot summer days.

Laid out over 3 floors, the wide staircases are a feature, particularly the winding staircase between the first and second floors (note; they're a bit too wide for standard stair gates, so may not be ideal for young children). The Living Room is positioned on the ground floor, as was the norm for the time, with 3 large windows that let the light stream in. From the top floor there are views over the roof tops to Arthur's Seat from the front and across the Firth of Forth to Fife at the rear.

The house offers 4 bedrooms, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Family Bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, a WC on each floor, full gas central heating, high pressure hot water system, Primary Bedroom with ensuite, WiFi, Smart TV, travel cot, high chair, iron and ironing board, hair dryers, linen and towels. Hopefully everything you need!

We loved this property! Not only was it clean and beautiful, but its location lent itself to a quick walk to morning coffee or afternoon local pizza, and a bus stop to get into town. Thank you, Patrick, for an amazing stay and consistent communication!

The kitchen was very well stocked to host dinners for our large family. The backyard table and chairs worked well for hanging out. The short walk to the beach was a plus. We enjoyed touring Edinburgh and this house worked well with the bus service.

We stayed in Portobello for a week and this house was absolutely perfect for us! Our only slight complaint (not really a complaint) was the lack of fans during the heat wave. We knew going in that AC wasn't a thing in most homes but not having atleast a fan to help was rough but we ended up buying 2 while there and leaving them for the host for future guests.

Great communication when booking. Lovely house - so convenient for the beach, promenade and coffee shops! A warm welcome from Roslyn with the keys, and a warm house - very much appreciated on a blustery weekend. Comfy beds, great bathroom, well equipped kitchen and the perfect lounge for watching the Winter Olympics !
